"You all have done your work for the day. Now you can go back to your quarters and rest." Y/n declared with a big smile after making Mr. Han gather all the staff in the main hall.

"What do you think you are doing?" The old lady hissed but Y/n's smile failed to notice the unhappiness on the other woman's face.

"I am giving you all a day off. " All the servants gathered in the room looked at her with happy eyes but the annoyance on Mrs. Hong's face depleted their enthusiasm.

"May I ask why?" The old lady again questioned. Y/n sighed, finally giving her the needed attention.

"Mrs. Hong. My brother is coming here to see me."

"You told me earlier." The lady put pressure on her words.

"But I didn't tell you that Mr. Jungkook is also on his way to ta--"

"Head back to your quarters and report when needed." Mrs. Hong started and that put a knowing smile on Y/n's face.

The staff blinked to the two woman, one with a scorn and the other with a smile.

"What are you all waiting for now? Leave." Mrs. Hong roared in her commanding tone which was shivering with the amount of hastiness in it. All the staff made their way out after giving a thankful glance in Y/n's direction.

"You take me for a fool. Don't you?" Y/n's eyes were at the old woman whose eyes were looking for someone urgently. "Who are you looking for?" Y/n raised her brows.

"Maria!!" She yelled once her eyes took account of the mute lady. Both of them stood side by side and watched Maria walk up to them.

"I don't take you for a fool Madam Y/n. I take you for a smart woman." Finally she addressed her but Y/n's mind was already drifting to a different question and the answers that revolved around it. "And smart people make more mistakes than fools."

"And Miss Maria here is going to correct my mistakes?"

A very small smile bloomed in Mrs. Hong's heart upon hearing the annoyance in Y/n's voice.

"She is just an insurance that smart people like you need."

"I don't think I need any kind of insurance." Y/n's voice came out commanding.

"There are things that you don't know yet Madam Y/n." The old lady sounded rather calm.

"Then enlighten me. Tell me what I don't know and what I need to know." Y/n turned her questioning eyes to her but she was back to addressing the newcomer.

"We are expecting more guests today." She gave a side-eye to Y/n. "And some trouble too. Find Mr. Han. Tell him to appoint two chefs to prepare the meal I told you about and escort the guests personally. In the meantime," She paused to see Y/n crossing her arms. "Take care of Baba's room. I will take care of the lounge area."

Once Maria was out of earshot, Y/n stood before Mrs. Hong, forcing her to pay attention to her.

"What are you doing now?"

"Why did you want to befriend Maria?" Y/n was taken aback on Mrs. Hong's question. "We have a total of thirty six female staff and twenty one male staff working in different shifts in the mansion. And among all those people, why is Maria the only one you wanted to call Eonnie?"

"T-That's because she was af--" Y/n was confused herself.

"It's definitely not because she was afraid of you the first time you met her." Mrs. Hong's eyes assessed Y/n's changed expressions. "Neither it's because you take pity on her. Because that you definitely not do. Then why?"
