The sounds of incoming footsteps were from behind, as you turn around to see Sonic and Tails. You waved, indicating your location. "Guys! I'm here.

"Hm, nothing is on fire or any robots at all.. that's a good sign." The blue blur declared, a hand under his chin. The three of the mobians had run into the village, "In fact, no one's here." Bad sign." You added to his comment.

"Did Eggman kidnap them all?.." Tails asked, worried. "Without causing property damage? Nah, not his style." Sonic answered the fox.

"Hello? Is anyone there? Please help!" And old man saying his pleas, as the three people who were just wondering around had heard the cries for help. 

"Elder Scruffy! Are you okay?" Sonic asked, running over to the old man. "Thank goodness you boys showed up.. Please, help us!"

You shot your blade to the rope holding him up, as Sonic caught him. "Of course! What happened to you?"

"I'll be fine, it's the rest of the town!" He said.

"First, they kidnapped Mr. Tinker, second, they came back and took prisoners of the community center!" He had explained, as you retrieved your sword back.

"Wait, wait, when was Mr. Tinker taken?" You asked, "About a week. No one was able to find you to tell you." the elderly said.

"We've been busy in those days.. we apologize."

"You said the same guys who attacked the village kidnapped Mr. Tinker?" Tails asked him for more information, just to confirm his curiosity.

"Yes. I've never seen them before recently. I'm sure they're still lurking around here."

"Did you get a good look at them? Maybe hear their names?"

" Oh we'll tell you. "

Sonic looked to his back, just to see his previous enemies. "Oh what??"

"Prepare to get wrecked, prepare to get pummeled. It's payback time for Rough And Tumble!"

You stare at them, "Corny."

"Wha- Hey!!"

"Did they really try to rhyme "pummel" and "Tumble"?"

Sonic held his hands to his head, "It's a thing they do. These are the mooks me and Knuckles dealt with in barricade town."

"And I do not recall you saying they have ridiculous weapons." you commented, "Though, Tails will help the trapped prisoners. Both of us will deal with each of them." You continued.

Sonic and you walked to them, as they growled at his anticipation.

"Don't act like we're nothin'! You only won 'cause you mobbed us with wisps!"

"Where's the other guy? I want to tie his dreadlocks into a knot."

They both threatened, as Sonic only nonchalantly checked his hand. "I'm betting Knuckles has better things to do other than shaming you of your attitudes. Now, we've got some questions for you."

"Where's Eggman?!" Sonic quickly spindashed the light colored on, I think Rough? Yeah.

You looked at the other on, Tumble, as he launched at you. You blinked, smacking him away with your hovering sword. "Dumbbutt."

Sonic landed behind you, sighing. "This isn't adding up. You two aren't smart enough combined to create gear like that, and you aren't subtle enough to leave a cryptic letter."

"I'll leave this mystery to the chaotix. Why don't save me a trip and just tell me what I want to know?"

"Maybe if you beat us, maybe we'll tattle!" Tumble had said, "Don't barter with him!" His companion had reminded.
