Mobile Task Force Tau-5, designated Samsara, is a MTF Unit of the Foundation that utilizes experimental weaponary to combat Thaumatyrguc, magical, and psionic threats. The MTF's main combat squadron is composed of four cybernetic clones constructed from the flesh of the Lord of Endowments. Although technically immortal, these clones can be defeated or destroyed in combat, though they will eventually regenerate at their machine of birth.
The Task Force was created by Prometheus Labs, but after a raid conducted on the facility resulted in it all being destroyed, the Foundation eventually took the 4 cybernetic clones and created Tau-5.
