Ludwig van Klein was quickly drafted into part of the special soldiers set to overthrow the government.King Hellsing Von Krapf was a fairly terrible king as he constantly killed his prime ministers over suspicion that one would overthrow him.He constantly acted on fear and had killed Seven prime ministers and twelve army commanders whom he believed were plotting against him.Nobody knew who was next and in that case they planned a coup.
He was part of the soldiers in charge of guarding the king and on the line of duty he agreed that the king deserved no mercy.
On that morning 7th June 1818 ,he was woken up at 12 am .He was part of a highly skilled 2 man army who were to take out the kings guard if they decided to put up a fight .They were very skilled ,each with a flintlock pistol that was way ahead of their time.It was skillfully crafted such that it could fire two bullets at a time and required minimum time to reload. They were the prototype acquired from the battle against France ,The original roots of the flintlock were connected to Egypt where it was presumably from.
As he was swiftly woken up by the assistant Commander,he and Klaus quickly prepared .After taking out all of the kings guards, that is if they decided to put up a fight ,they would go ahead and hold the king hostage at gunpoint until the rest of the army arrived .Together with the commander and each of the 12 battalions of approximately 55,000 men they would drive the king to exile.Ludwig knew deep inside him that commander Otto wouldn't let the king go to exile after killing all the innocent deputies over a crazy suspicion. He would definitely undergo execution and he knew exactly how Otto would make it slow ,painful and unbearable.
Both Klaus and Ludwig were prepared within the first 5 minutes and headed to the castle through the walls-they had requested Otto to let them enter the castle like fellow kings guards but Otto didn't want it to look like a cheap shot at betrayal he wanted it to be as bloody as possible. He wanted it to be written down in books as a strong uprising in the german military that would rival the French Revolution. He wanted it as bloody as possible and only those two knew how to do it .
Klaus was in it for the money. He didn't care a bit about the nation or any of that .He was promised lots of money in the end if they won and that was his drive.Ludwig on the other hand did it out of devotion. He was devoted to his nation despite being fatherless ,he was determined to do everything possible for the glory of Germany. To him it was his father since it raised him despite being half french and born of a local prostitute -as they said .He thought of all this before Klaus snapped him into his senses. They stealthily climbed up the castle walls taking out the guard who was on each side of the wall. They did it silently by cupping their mouths and piercing their throats with their daggers silently that they couldn't make a sound or fight back. Then silently through the dark edges of the wall they killed off all the soldiers on duty until they arrived at the main entrance. The 7 foot strongly built soldier at the main entrance to the castle spotted Ludwig creeping up against the wall and yanked him up into the air .Klaus quickly rushed to the rescue but he was prepared for him and quickly threw Ludwig at him and they both fell to the ground .He ran towards them before Klaus took out his flintlock and pointed it at him ,he threatened to shoot .
"You wouldn't dare ,"smiled the man .
"I can and I will, don't dare me !" Groaned Klaus silently.
"Shoot and risk getting more men out here ,it's your loss !" He laughed taunting him .
Klaus used his arms to spring into the air towards the man in attempt to kick his neck and make him unconscious but he read the situation and caught him mid air throwing him onto the ground a distance away .He landed with a thud and probably fractured his rib.Meanwhile Ludwig sprang for his neck with a dagger but he missed when it hit one of his metal buttons which deflected it to his shoulder instead.Seething in pain,he held Ludwig and tried to throw him to the ground but he broke free from his grip, derived the dagger from his shoulder and stabbed his chest hard breaking through his leather coat .
The man realizing that he had lost since Ludwig was too fast for him, rushed towards the bell in attempt to ring it and call for reinforcements.Just as he was about to pull the cord connected to the huge bell,Klaus threw a dagger at him stabbing his foot and rendering him slow for a few seconds. A few seconds was all Ludwig needed to rush at him take the dagger out of his chest and and into his neck .He held his bleeding neck as blood slowly gushed out and he fell down.Klaus held him up and laid him down slowly so as not to fall with a loud thud and alert anyone.
Inside the castle two guards stood in the downstairs hallway ,two others were by the stairs ,4 on the upper floor and one by the bedroom door.Since it was late night ,no one was prepared for a fight against some of the most skilled men in the army. One of the guards put up a fight but was silently knocked out unconscious. The other saw that and quickly surrendered..The two at the stairs saw the two assassins and quickly threw down their weapons and ran out of the castle .They knew there was no winning against them as one of the assassins was stronger than both of them combined.
The other four guards upstairs were over confident. They therefore put up a fight but they were quickly and gruesomely killed .The first guard lunged forward at Ludwig but quickly lost his footing and to Ludwigs' s advantage he quickly knocked his lower chin and he unconsciously was thrown down the stairs .The other ones were strong too, however The two were stronger and they quickly slit their throats and killed them .This caught attention of the guard at the king's bedroom door.He quickly rushed to the fight without alerting the king ,this was his biggest mistake .He was a tall man fit and fast equipped with a scythe .He was one of the strongest fighters they knew .They would have drawn their flintlocks and finished him off but their egoistic nature chose a fair fight .They stood there before him watching him as he ran towards then ready to fight for the life of the king .
