The man was incredibly fast as he swung his scythe around to counter the attacks by the two assassins. They quickly regretted their ego and prompted to take out their flintlocks and fire at him but he was too fast and they hadn't a chance to reach for their waist and draw their guns.
Klaus took around 5 minutes to study their opponents swinging pattern .He swung the scythe such that it knocked everything in its path ,he did it so fast that it might have looked like he had 4 arms each with a sword .The opening which Klaus saw and took to advantage was the fact that even though he was fast he had a blind spot on both sides of his abdomen ,he could only guard one at a time .Ludwig noticed over time what Klaus was actually trying to do and he took it to his advantage. Both of them lunged forward at the man's abdomen from both sides .He noticed what they were trying to do but it was too late .He swung his scythe and caught Klaus' dagger and threw it aside but Ludwig was dangerously close and ripped through his left abdomen deeply. He swung back at Ludwig but Klaus quickly punched his lower jaw and he fell down unconscious. He slowly bled to death .
Klaus covered his corpse as a sign of respect to a diligent and skilled fighter he was.He was by far the only man besides Ludwig and Prime commander Otto who could actually match or beat him in hand to hand combat .As the man lay down taking his last breaths he gradually recalled his teacher telling him to avoid giving openings in close up fights. He never listened since he was fast at fighting but now he realized it was important. He personally hadn't faced off two fighters who could read off his moves he was impressed and closed his eyes pridefully having died in a battle worth it .
They flipped a coin for who was to go capture the king and Ludwig got chosen.None of them wanted to apprehend the king since he was sneaky and good at fighting .Ludwig was to rush into the room and capture the king together with his maidens and Klaus was to rush to the roof and give the signal to alert the calvary to come and apprehend the King .
He placed his musket against the door and fired breaking the knob that held the door shut .He could hear screams from inside as the women scampered on and over the bed .He then nodded to Klaus who nodded back and rushed up the stairs. Inside the room lay the queen and the mistress in bed ,the king was not in the room at that moment. On asking the queen who was still trembling but struggling to maintain her composure she said that he never came to bed tonight. The mistress stated that he may have gone to the garden for a walk or was probably in the study room. She denied knowing about the whole uprising.
"But since he hasn't come to bed today ..." started the queen ,"what can we do for you?" The mistress completed softly as if they had rehearsed that single line all week .They both walked towards him seductively and he tightened the grip on his blood stained dagger and smoking musket .His instinct told him that the king was nearby but he couldn't Pin his exact location. He decided to play along he might find him in the process.
The queen walked behind him and rubbed his shoulders and neck with her small dainty hands .He slightly loosened the grip on his Flintlock allowing the queen to take it out of his hand and place it on the nightstand. He held the dagger tightly but loosened up when the mistress massaged his crotch .He hadn't been with a woman ever since he went to war with Italy and 4 months had passed .He was vulnerable and weak to the women's' antics and they used it to their advantage pulling the dagger out of his grasp .He saw no harm in playing along .The mistress unbuttoned his coat and slowly massaged his chest .
"The king wouldn't know he would be dead anyway ," she whispered softly and giggled .He smiled and pulled her closer kissing her neck, she let out a soft moan before the mistress pulled him away and started kissing his chest .He presumed that they seduced him to avoid exile or execution.
A gunshot was heard and he knew that was Klaus' signal. He had 20-30 minutes before the calvary would rush into the castle to find the King in his study or in the garden .As the queen slowly dug her hands into his pants sniffing around for his manhood he noticed something circular form behind the curtain,it was a hollow circular hole that was 4 cm thick ,He quickly pushed both women onto the floor as a red hot bullet erupted from the hole behind the curtain. He saw the bullet rip through the fabric of the curtain, across the room and lunged into the wall. They all hid behind the bed as the king emerged from behind the curtains Musket in hand . He aimed at the three and shot again. The bullet ripped through the wooden bed and missed them although a splinter went into the mistress' foot causing her to pass out in pain.He raised his hand to get his flintlock on the night stand but another shot was fired and he panicked .This time he could hear the king's footsteps draw closer .Thinking quickly he fell the nightstand and the flintlock fell of down and he picked it .When the king emerged ready to shoot he saw Ludwig there with a flintlock in his hands ready to fire the double barrel at him.
The queen slapped the flintlock out of his hands giving the king an upper hand .The king was about to shoot when the felt a Flintlock to the back of his head ."Drop it your majesty ,or I'll have to kill you!" Boomed Klaus' voice causing him to stop and drop the musket and Ludwig quickly picked it up .The king then felt a heavy blow and he dropped to the floor .The queen picked up Ludwigs musket to shoot at Klaus but he missed and in time Ludwig punched her face and she fainted immediately.
"You lost focus!" Shouted Klaus, Ludwig's eyes were downcast and he remained silent ."Now tie them up I'll go open the gates, the army will be in here any time !" Klaus commanded and left the room. He couldn't believe he almost lost his life and Jeopardized the whole mission over a woman .He now regarded Klaus as his god ,if it weren't for his quick thinking he would be dead.
Klaus came back shortly with a man in his hands .On the other hand he held a dead pigeon .He was a short bearded man who had presumably passed out .In his hands he held an envelope which was later revealed to be a letter to the kings eldest son Nova and his youngest Son Louis who were still in battle against the Danish army urging them to send troops to help reclaim his kingdom. The pigeon had a letter that was to send a message to the king of Prussia to send help.It was as if the king predicted the plans but Klaus was there to intercept it .
They then heard heavy marching footsteps and drums from a distance and knew the army had arrived. They quickly carried the royal family downstairs. The king had started to regain consciousness when he saw Otto and 12 heavily armed men march into the castle through the front door .He could hear a crowd of another probably 20,000 to 50,000 men outside .Ludwig then set the king on the throne as more men poured in behind Otto .
