Kulsum's POV-
My heart slammed in my ribcage ready to explode as our heartbeat synced, our breaths mingled with each other.
His ocean blue eyes never seemed so dark and dangerous before with our faces just inches apart. His hands went up to remove the pin in my hijab as it slided off my head but I was too busy to feel anything else.
"So you think I'm old?" His voice sounded velvety as his fingers ran through my hair, brushing a lock of hair from my face.
"I mean you are four years older than me, and you're twenty six...so yeah basically old and almost thirty." I should shut up, all these blabbing will get me killed someday.
A hint of astonishment crept up on his face as he cocked a brow, his lips curled into a devilish smirk.
"I never knew you had a thing for old people." His eyes darting mine with fierce, warning and desire.
His hand went to the back of the neck, sending chills down my spine as his thumb carcassed my jaw.
He inched closer to me, his breaths tickling the sensitive spot of my neck, my pulse rapidly pounding and I was sure he could hear it.
Just then my eyes shot open by a shrill voice of his ringtone. He pulled away, a sense of annoyance and fury reflected on his face.
I was kinda disappointed as well to be honest. Did I want him to kiss me? Yes-NO!
I don't know.....but who the hell calls at 3 am?He answered the call as he stood up, his fingers brushing on his forehead to his eyebrows.
"What do you mean you can't get it by tonight? The inauguration is in two days, and I want everything done right. I don't care...just get it done by tonight!" His nostrils flared as he paced around the room, his expressions fuming with anger.
"Is everything alright?" I sat up straight, my fingers fidgeting as I bit my lower lip.
"It will be....there are no other options, nevertheless, don't you worry melekim." He sighed as his expressions softened.
It takes a lot of courage to keep calm and make time for your family while things are crazy at work.
"Are you sure? You can talk to me." I assured him as I folded my legs.
He crept up on the bed beside me as he unfolded the blanket."Go to sleep melekim, everything's fine." A small smile curled up on his lips as he leaned closer and brushed his lips on my forehead.
The sensation travelled and tingled in my entire body as I felt my cheeks heating up.
I soon cocooned in my blanket with a hint of delight yet disappointment. The next day-
I exited the bathroom, rubbing a napkin on my hair attempting to dry it.
While Abdul Razzaq was in front of vanity putting on his keffiyeh and a shiny Rolex watch from his collection of 30.I was too busy gawking and drooling over him that I tripped on my own foot and was about to hit the ground but a strong muscular arms grabbed my waist.
My hands involuntarily rested on his chest as his eyes steered on my lips.
"You still trip on nothing melekim, the habit needs to change....as I told you earlier I won't be there to save you everytime." He breathed as our foreheads brushed against each other.I don't trip over nothing......I trip swooning over you.
"Old habits die old I guess." I swallowed hard, water from my damp hair dripped vigorously on my shoulders and chest.
