Standing in front of Toma's flat, where it all began, I felt a familiar sense of unease twist my stomach into knots. I remembered all too vividly the days and nights he had drugged me and confined me inside, claiming it was all out of a twisted form of care.

Every time, I crossed the threshold, I was once again reminded of the darker side of Toma's personality I had endured within these walls. I forced myself to suppress my true emotions, knowing that I couldn't show any doubts in front of Toma. Though I questioned if I ever could truly forgive and forget.

Toma curled his arm around my shoulders, pulling me against his side.

"Here comes the bride" he sang softly, "all dressed in white" he whispered in my ear, happily laughing , "Ah! I can't wait to marry you and be husband and wife!"

I forced a smile onto my face, hiding the uncertainty and trepidation swirling through me. The unease in my stomach twisted tighter as I tried to maintain my composure, not wanting to reveal the turmoil of emotions I was experiencing.

"Seeing you in that wedding dress has gotten me so riled up" Toma chuckled, kissing my hair, "I'm going to make love to you all night" Toma promised,

As I listened to the words spilling from Toma's lips, I felt an odd mix of fear and excitement coursing through my veins. This intense, possessive side of him was both terrifying and exhilarating, leaving me uncertain about my own emotions

Since returning from the cabin, I had hoped Toma and I could have a fresh start and build our relationship from ground up. I felt naïve now in retrospect for thinking Toma would change. I was starting to see that people don't truly change after all, because he had become even more possessive and controlling.

Toma laid his warm hand on my lower back, encouraging me to enter.

"I have something to show you" Toma said with a smile, guiding me into the centre of the room where a box was waiting, "Look inside" he insisted.

Anxiously, I moved towards the large box, uncertain what I would find inside. I was surprised to find a selection of my clothing and belongings along with photographs.

"Wait a minute" I said confused, "These are all things given to me by..."

"Thats right! Clothing, gifts, photos from Ikki and Shin" Toma said jovially, "I thought we could burn them together" he revealed as I stared at him shocked, "Why are you looking at me like that? I would have thought you wouldn't want to keep things that reminded you of them now" he said in a warning tone.

I stared open mouthed at him and down at the box, gripping the cardboard sides so tightly my knuckles turned white. It felt like this was some kind of test, to check if I had any feelings towards Ikki and Shin still.

"I don't think I'm ready for that" I said tightly, "I won't just burn away memories" I looked up at Toma, seeing the cold fury in his gaze, "I will think about it" I conceded.

Toma's body seemed to relax, the taut muscles slowly unknotting themselves as he gently held my hand, lifting it to his lips. His golden eyes never once leaving mine, his gaze intense and filled with an unreadable emotion. Slowly, he kissed my hand with a tenderness that surprised me, his lips lingering on my skin for a moment longer than necessary.

"That's my good girl" Toma praised, "I know you can't forget but you can start over. They are just things after all. Anything you need I can get for you" he said nuzzling my hand, "I love you so much"

I swallowed hard as I regarded him, my heart frantically beating in my chest. I felt uncomfortable with how controlling he had become and this was a whole new level.
