AN: so this was actually a flashback portion from SAS which here I have expanded and written it with Akshara's pov. So I hope it worked. Happy reading everyone. I'll make sure the next chap is longer.

One word described how Akshara felt in that moment: heavy. Everything weighed on her-the heavy jewelery, the heavy saree, and the layers of makeup by the makeup artist whom her mother had chosen for her. She sighed wearily as they continued to doll her up for the wedding, already feeling exhausted. She couldn't even begin to imagine how she would endure the "heavily" prepared ceremony waiting for her downstairs.

Akshara's mother hadn't gone easy with the preparations, and it was clear that most of it wasn't for her. Instead, it was all designed to give their relatives and guests something to gossip about.

Thalunga! Thalunga!

( Move! Move!)

Suddenly, she heard Tara pushing her petite self through the crowd, making her way toward her sister and the dressing table.

Akka!

Yennadhi?

( Yes?)

Akshara couldn't understand why her sister was in such a rush, and to make things worse, her bangles suddenly felt too tight to fit.

Ava kalyanathukku kooda, avala nimmadhi'ya vida maatiya?

( Won't you leave her alone? At least for her wedding?)

One of the middle-aged women chided, instantly earning a sharp glare from Akshara.

Ava en kooda dhan irupa, neengalam konjam veliya ponga.

( She will be with me, you can all leave for a while)

Disappointed and judgmental murmurs echoed as the women filed out of the room, obeying a single order from Akshara. Meanwhile, Tara smirked teasingly at their retreating figures. Akshara heaved a sigh of relief once they were alone-she could finally breathe.

Ippo sollu, yenna?

( Now, tell me. What it is?)

Tara fiddled with the end of Akshara's saree pallu, a small gesture that reflected the maternal comfort she always found in her sister.

Akka...

Akshara mindlessly hummed checking her appearance, it was like seeing a completely differebt person. She shook her head in disbelief.

Nee yen ka avaruku OK sonnae?

( Why did you agree to marry him?)

Akshara froze in place, second-guessing the choice she thought was right. She frowned at Tara through the mirror's reflection, her uncertainty growing.

Yen?

( Why?)

Avaru nalla irukarae!
