First Night with the gentleman
>>>>–––– ✨️ ––––<<<<

Akshara bent down to touch her parents' feet, seeking their blessings before leaving for her in-laws' house. Venkatesh gently brushed his hand over her hair, a proud smile on his face. Meenakshi, standing beside him, placed a firm hand on Akshara's shoulder and said

Nalla marumaga'nu per yedhukanum

( Make sure you earn a good name)

Akshara smiled, surprised to have received even that small gesture from her mother. At least it was something. She then turned to Tara, who, to Akshara, seemed like the only one truly saddened by her absence in the mornings. Without a word, Tara wrapped her arms around Akshara in a tight, heartfelt hug, unwilling to let go.

Bathrama iru ka, enaku daily phone pannu

( Be careful, call me everyday)

Neeyum porae yedathulalam sandha potutu varadhae

( You don't go picking fights everywhere)

Akshara adviced Tara. The sisters parted after taking much time and Tara tearfully watched as Alshara got into the car beside Vikram.

Akshara adviced Tara, their final sisterly moment stretched as long as possible before they reluctantly parted. Tara tearfully watched as Akshara got into the car beside Vikram, her eyes brimming with unspoken emotions.

As the car rolled away, Saranya made her best efforts to distract Akshara with conversation, but Vikram couldn’t ignore the subtle fear etched on Akshara’s face. This major shift in her life was overwhelming, and he knew it was far more daunting for her than it was for him. Quietly, he made a mental note to help her in any way he could.

Akshara tapped her fingers nervously against the glass of milk she held, following the guidance toward the room where Vikram was already waiting.

She gulped, mentally praying that Vikram would agree to the conversation she was about to have—that they shouldn't proceed with these arrangements until they had a better understanding of each other.

Akshara braced herself and opened the door, only to find the room empty. Frowning, she stepped inside and locked the door behind her. Just as she turned back around, Vikram emerged from the washroom, dressed in casual clothes and wiping his face with a towel.

Vikram looked at her frowning and smiled. Akshara blinked at him and approached with her confusion intact as he seemed very cool and composed compared to her,

Idhu..

( This is..)

Thank you

Vikram took the glass of milk from Akshara, poured half of it into the smaller tumbler that had been used to cover the sombu, and handed the sombu back to her. He drank from the tumbler casually while Akshara stood there, still puzzled by his actions. As he finished the drink, her eyes wandered around the room, taking in the sight of the lavishly decorated bed and the overwhelming scent of the flowers that filled the air. The fragrance was intoxicating, making the situation feel even harder. She couldn't help but wonder how she was going to bring up the conversation she had been rehearsing in her mind.

Akshara’s nerves heightened. The weight of the evening, the flowers, and the room’s heavy atmosphere pressed on her. She stole a glance at him. How was she going to convince him to slow things down?
