As soon as the cast was removed and the doctor announced that Peter could return to daily activities if he spared himself, Tony immediately moved on to punishment and discussing the escape again. Although Tony acknowledged that it could hardly be called an escape, but rather a tantrum, which made Peter angry. It wasn't so easy to escape from a secure tower with artificial intelligence and a psychopathic guardian. They maintained a cold relations for 1.5 weeks to explain everything to each other at this very moment.
"You disappointed me a lot, boy. Everything was going in the right direction, we made great progress, and you decided to ruin it," said Tony, sitting opposite Peter on the couch, where they were having a serious conversation. He leaned toward the boy to make sure he was listening. "FRIDAY showed me the video and the moment you panicked. Were you scared?" cooed Tony.
Peter nodded so as not to aggravate the situation, but there was a grimace on his face.
"You were going to kill my parents!" Peter couldn't stand it.
Tony sighed, but smiled reassuringly.
"They would not hesitate to kill me. And I had legitimate reasons." Peter didn't want to hear it anymore, so he got up to leave. "Sit down, I'm not done with you!"
Peter felt a tug on his healthy arm, causing him to be forced to sit back down. Tears welled up in his eyes.
"But we've covered that, now the question of punishment remains. Beating you doesn't work. You keep rebelling, even though you have no rational reason to do so. No threats or warnings have any effect. Therefore, now I have decided to punish you in another way," Tony smiled ominously.
Peter covered his fear with an indifferent face. He could not show the man that he feared him.
"Come on Petey, in order to carry out this punishment we have to go somewhere" he approached Peter and held out his hand expectantly bending and straightening his fingers. Peter fearfully approached and shook the man's hand. Tony smiled with satisfaction looking down at the child. "Good boy.
Tony tightened his hand around the smaller hand so Peter wouldn't escape him and pulled toward the elevator.
"Where are we going?" asked a terrified Peter.
"You'll see," Tony smiled, and Peter felt nauseous.
After a while they were in the basement, to which Peter escaped more than a week ago. It was cold and uncomfortable there. A musty smell filled the nostrils. The sparsely lit ceiling was frighteningly dark. The basement was fortunately small and housed only a few cells. In one of them were his parents.
"Why are we here?" asked Peter and pulled his hand out of Tony's grasp, which clearly did not please the man.
Tony crouched down in front of him.
"Peter, I want you to sit in this chair now," he indicated a wooden chair against the wall.
Peter shook his head. He was afraid of what the man would do to him.
"I'm not going to repeat myself. Sit down. Now," the warning in his voice called Peter to order.
With a quick step, Peter walked to the black brick wall and sat down in a chair. Tony raised the corner of his mouth.
"See? If you want, you can behave. And now, whatever happens, you are to stay in this chair. You are not allowed to move from it until I order you to, is that clear?"
Peter felt tears in his eyes. He was afraid of what Tony might do to him or his parents. Having no choice, he nodded. Tony kissed him on the head and walked away toward his parents' cell. Peter heard his parents' screams, and then everything went quiet. Peter hung his head and began to cry.
