Oscar's POV
The aftermath of the Australian Grand Prix is a whirlwind. The race was grueling, and the media frenzy is relentless. I'm back at the hotel, trying to process everything. Logan and I have retreated to our room, and the tension between us is a welcome distraction from the media circus.
Logan's scrolling through his phone, his face illuminated by the screen. "You see this?" he asks, showing me an article with a headline about Lando and a so-called "mystery woman."
I glance at it, feeling a pang of irritation. "More rumors. It's getting ridiculous."
Logan chuckles. "Yeah, but it's not just that. Apparently, there's some talk about Lando and his team having issues with their accommodations."
I raise an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
Logan continues, "Word is, they're having trouble with their hotel rooms. There was a mix-up, and they ended up having to share rooms with other teams."
I frown. "That sounds like a mess. Especially with the amount of pressure they're under."
Logan nods. "Yep. And guess what? We're in the same hotel. Might be worth checking out."
Lando's POV
The hotel situation is a disaster. Our team's arrangements were messed up, and we've ended up sharing rooms with some of the other drivers. The tension in our room is palpable, and the media frenzy isn't helping.
Max and Carlos are trying to stay positive, but it's clear that everyone is on edge. We're all feeling the strain, and it's affecting our focus.
"Can't believe we're in this situation," Max grumbles, pacing the room. "This is just what we need."
Carlos nods in agreement. "Yeah, especially with all the rumors flying around."
I can't help but think about Oscar. The rivalry between us is reaching new heights, and it's starting to affect everything. The constant media attention and the pressure are getting to both of us.
Oscar's POV
Later that night, I'm heading down to the hotel lobby for a late-night snack when I run into Lando. He's looking equally frustrated, and there's a tense silence between us.
"Can't sleep?" I ask, trying to break the ice.
Lando gives me a sidelong glance. "Not really. Too much going on."
We both fall into an awkward silence, the weight of our ongoing rivalry hanging in the air. It's clear that neither of us is happy with the current situation, but neither is willing to admit it.
Just then, a hotel staff member approaches us. "Sorry to bother you, but there's been a change in room assignments. We've had to make some adjustments due to the mix-up."
Lando and I exchange glances. "What's the change?" I ask.
The staff member hesitates. "Well, it seems like some of the drivers will be moved around. We're trying to minimize disruptions."
Lando groans. "Great. Just what we needed."
Lando's POV
The next morning, the hotel situation is still a mess. We're shuffled around, and the accommodations are less than ideal. The media is all over it, and the constant speculation is starting to wear on everyone.
As we head to the paddock, the atmosphere is tense. The shared hotel rooms have only added to the frustration, and it feels like we're all walking on eggshells.
I catch Oscar in the hallway, looking equally frustrated. "How's the new room?" I ask, trying to make small talk.
Oscar gives me a wry smile. "About as good as it gets. Could be worse, I guess."
We both chuckle, the tension easing slightly. It's clear that we're both feeling the strain, and the shared discomfort is creating an unexpected bond.
Oscar's POV
The race weekend continues with its usual intensity. The media frenzy is unrelenting, and the pressure is mounting. Lando and I are once again at odds on the track, pushing each other to the limit.
During a break in the action, I overhear a conversation between Max and Carlos. They're talking about a recent incident where Lando and I had a heated exchange. The conversation is lighthearted, but it's clear that the rivalry is a topic of interest.
"It's like they're trying to one-up each other," Max says with a laugh.
Carlos nods. "Yeah, but it's all just part of the show. They're both intense, and it makes for great drama."
I can't help but feel a mix of frustration and amusement. The rivalry with Lando is more than just a competition—it's becoming a personal challenge.
Lando's POV
The race itself is a blur of speed and adrenaline. Oscar and I are once again locked in a fierce battle for position. The tension is palpable, and every move feels like a declaration.
As the race progresses, I catch a glimpse of Oscar in my mirrors. There's a look of determination in his eyes, and it's clear that he's pushing himself to the limit. The rivalry is more than just racing—it's a personal challenge.
The race ends with a mix of relief and frustration. We've both pushed ourselves to the limit, and the rivalry is far from over. As I make my way to the paddock, I catch Oscar's eye again. There's a flicker of something in his gaze—challenge, maybe even respect.
Oscar's POV
The media frenzy continues, and the speculation about my rivalry with Lando shows no signs of dying down. The pressure is mounting, and it's starting to affect my focus.
Later that evening, I'm heading back to the hotel when I run into Lando again. This time, there's a more genuine conversation between us.
"Look, I know this rivalry is intense," Lando says, "but maybe we're both feeling the pressure more than we're letting on."
I nod, feeling a sense of understanding. "Yeah, I think you're right."
As we part ways, there's a flicker of something—respect, maybe even camaraderie—in the air. The rivalry is still there, but there's a growing sense of mutual respect between us.
