Chapter 51

[ Martha's pov ]

The next morning I woke up early leaving the manor , I called my best friend Zola as I made my way to some cafe in Gotham v wanted me to try.

" I apologize for the other night." I say to Zola as she laughs a little. " don't be , I know uncle Bruce was probably just going through something ...but Martha don't beat yourself up about this ." Zola says , as I remember the night before and try to keep a my expression neutral.
I take a deep breath before saying . " I wish you stayed the whole night with me... something isn't right with him Zola ." I say gently to her over the phone .

" is this because he yelled at you Martha ." I hear Zola say , I shake my head . " no it's more then that zo....... it's the way he did it ." I say to her over the phone , I reach the cafe and scan my eyes looking for him . I catch him in a booth I hide behind the counter so he doesn't see me as I hear say . " Martha ? Are you still here ?"

I didn't tell her I was going out with v well let's be honest this was just a friendly get together so it's not really that much to talk about still didn't want her to know that because then she would make this a big thing which for the record isn't I repeat I don't have feelings for him , I'm only doing this because he won't stop texting me plus we got the same school so it would be so much to avoid him so this is my only option.

" Martha?" I hear Zola say over the phone once more as I decided to come up with an excuse , I grab a paper menu and crumbled it up against the phone as I said . " can't talk * crumbling paper* going through a tunnel." I then hang up the phone quickly to make it look like the signal dropped as I got up from my spot the waitress gave me an odd look before she recognized me and freaked dragging attention to me . Dam ! .

" omg your Martha Wayne ! ." The male waitress says as I faked smiled. " yes I am , I'm meeting with someone right now ." I told him calmly with a slight smile before making my way to v's table .

I sat in the booth, he had a slight smile on his face making me raise an eyebrow. " I'm sorry ,did I miss something." I said as he shook his head for a moment before saying. " for a second there I thought you were about to ditch me ." I stared at him wondering if he saw me when I walked in earlier. " also to answer your question. I saw you duck behind the counter." I freeze for a moment then decide to make an excuse. " oh you did . I was getting a better look at the ceramic floor ." He burst out laughing like I told a joke it was getting hard for me to keep up my facial expression. " is there a reason why you wanted to meet with me ." I questioned wanting to get to the point of this .

The waitress comes over and takes our order I get a black coffee with no cream or sugar as v gets a regular coffee. The waitress leaves for moment before placing our drinks down infrong of us . I take sip out of my coffee before hearing him say . " was going to take you to the arcade for our first date but I figured that wasn't your style ." At those words I choke on my coffee. " wait what ! This is not a date and if it is I didn't agree to this ." V takes a sip of his coffee very slowly to tease me before saying. " well you did to agree to it and second , what would you call this ." I blush at his words he was right I did agree to this but he's just so annoying it's hard to say no . " a casual...get together! ." I say to him looking down at my coffee.

" your really stubborn aren't you ." V says as I roll my eyes. " and you're really annoying." He then smiles at my words . " well if it gets you on a date with me then fine I'm annoying ."he says teasingly as I blush red . " this is not a date ! ."

* buzz*

I hear my phone ring as I see a text from my older brother dick . I glance at the text .

Less annoying brother~ hey sis , I need you I need you to meet up with me , Kate has something to tell us ."
