Charlie and Vaggie spend some time in the morning going over the specifics of what we'll be doing to defend ourselves and the hotel. I can't help but notice the flying drones around the area. Vox tech. It's everywhere. Vox must be watching from the comfort of his tower, hoping that we'll all be slaughtered. Luckily, he doesn't recognize me as I am, otherwise I'd be screwed.

After going through the game plan, the portal from Heaven opens. The exorcist angels begin flying through and Charlie yells for us to attack. I just need to remember what to do.

I quickly change my appearance to match the exorcists. I make sure to tie the red bandana around my ankle, double checking to make sure it's bright and visible. We agreed that I would wear this so that the others in the hotel would know which one was me and not attack me by mistake. I grab the angelic spear to match their weapons and think about flying. I've done this in disguise before, I can do it again.

The wings flap and I'm in the air. It takes me a few seconds to adjust. I don't normally fly. But once I have it down, I join the other exorcists in the sky, doing my best to blend in.

"One of the hell spawn rounded this corner. We can surround him!" I yell to a few of the exorcists around me, rallying them with a war cry to chase a common enemy. I get four of them to follow me around the building, only to be greeted by Angel and his many firearms. I quickly fly up and out of the way before he starts with his borage of bullets, killing all four.

"Good job (y/n)." Angel winks.

"Not bad shooting yourself." I compliment back. "Let's go get the rest of those fuckers!" I hold the spear up high, flying back out.

As I do, I see the dark shield slowly surrounding the area. Just like we planned, Alastor has created a barrier to keep some of the angels in and Adam out.

"Go for the princess!" I hear one of the exorcists yell, looking in my direction. If I disobey in front of this many angels, my cover will easily be blown.

I fly towards Charlie along with a few other angels. I have no plans to actually attack her, but I know the others do. Luckily, she points her finger to the sky and makes us disburse with a show of fireworks.

"Die motherfuckers." Charlie says in an unconfident manner, ducking under her shield. Goodness, she's too adorable to be here.

I use the same tactic a few times, luring one or two angels to secluded areas before killing them. On my way back out I see that the shield has been destroyed. That can't be good. Before I have too much time to process, I see Adam and Alastor fighting on the rooftop. My heart is pounding too quickly, I'm nervous.

I don't want to lose it. My spontaneous relationship.

Alastor gets hit by Adam's weapon, flying and harshly hitting the brick wall before disappearing into the shadows. He looked gravely injured. Where did he go?!

My mind is in a panic, I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing right now. I grab at my chest, feeling my heartbeat quickly. My breathing feels unstable.

"(y/n)!" I hear my name being called, but I don't move. I change back to my normal form and Husk runs up to me, putting both hands on my shoulders. "Breathe girl. Calm down. Everything's fine." He tries to calm me down. Our attention moves to Charlie and Vaggie who are now on two large dragons, getting ready to confront Adam and Lute.

"You're right, you're right." I respond, taking deeper breaths and doing what I can to calm down. "Thanks, Husk." I smile weakly, doing what I can to stay sane and not get stuck in my own thoughts at this inopportune time.

"No problem. Now come on, sly vixen. We're surviving this!" Husk flies off to continue fighting.

With the help of Lucifer's appearance, we were able to make the exorcist angels retreat. The first time in Hell's history that we were able to fight back and win. We lost Sir Pentious in the process and built a new hotel all in the span of just a couple of hours. My emotions are an absolute roller coaster.

The thing I was happy to see was Alastor, alive and well, make his presence once the new hotel was up and running. There's no way he's fine though, right? He was incredibly injured! He can't just be fine!

As everyone starts heading into the new hotel, excited to see what's new, I stay behind with Alastor. I'm not sure if he's staying behind on purpose to talk to me, or because he wanted everyone else to walk in first. Once everyone else is out of sight, his walls come down just slightly.

"Fuck." I hear Alastor growl as he puts his hand to his chest, a pained look on his face.

"It's rare I hear you swear." I mention, looking over at him. "That bad, huh?" I question.

Alastor holds his hand out to look at it. There's blood on his palm and I can easily see it bleeding through his shirt and coat.

"Jesus, Alastor." I know I sound surprised. It looks worse than I thought. I look at it more closely. I can see the size of the gash just by how it bleeds through his shirt.

"I'm glad you're okay." Alastor mentions randomly, making me look back up at him. "I... was worried." He admits. He was worried about me? I hope he wasn't distracted by being worried and got himself hurt. "I couldn't get to you. Adam got in the way and I..." He trails off, looking away.

"It's okay." I interrupt him, causing Alastor to look back over at me. "I'm fine. You're fine. We're okay." I have my hand on his arm, the other in his hand. "But we should take care of that wound before it gets worse." I recommend.

Alastor's smile seems genuine, like he's actually happy. It doesn't feel like he's putting up a front. "That would be lovely." He sounds more relaxed just by the thought.

"Good. Now let's go. I have to take care of my imperfection!" I joke, still holding his hand as I try to drag him into the newly built hotel. Once he starts walking, I let go. I don't want the others to ask us questions.

"Your imperfection?" Alastor questions with a small chuckle.

"Yep. That will be my new pet name for you until I get a better one." I state confidently as I continue walking.

"I'm not a fan of it." Alastor retorts from behind me. I can hear in his voice that he truly isn't a fan.

I keep walking but turn my head to look back at him, holding my hands behind my back as my tail sways. A big smile on my face. Maybe I feel too confident. I feel like I have the upper hand in this situation. "Well, give me a reason to change it, and maybe I will." I offer.
