After the battle and the news cast, Hell was in an uproar of celebrations. Demons found many ways to celebrate, some more tame than others. Our group just wanted a fun night out. One that I was actually invited to this time! Alastor of course declined. The club we wanted to go to was quote on quote, 'not his style.'

The loud jukebox, occasional karaoke and flowing drinks made it a good time. I couldn't help but notice that Charlie had a sad look on her face. "You okay?" I ask her.

Charlie focuses on me, looking like I just pulled her out of a trance. "Huh? Yeah. It's just..." She pulls out a large stack of papers from her lap and puts them on the counter. "I brought flyers that talk about the hotel. I thought about sharing them with the others in here."

This makes Angel laugh. "You brought those to the club?!" He laughs harder.

Charlie glares at him, not amused. "Well, yeah! I figured this would be a good place to recruit for the hotel!" She argues before looking defeated.

"I think it's a great idea, babe." Vaggie encourages her girlfriend with a smile and a hand on Charlies back, getting a small smile in return.

"Of course you do." Angel mutters, sipping his drink.

"Hey, (y/n)." Husk uses my name to get my attention, making me look over at him. He has this mischievous look on his face. He used to have the same look of excitement when I saw him gamble. What is he up to?

"Isn't it your job to recruit for the hotel?" He questions. Ah, I see what he's doing. The jerk. "Why is Charlie doing your job? You should be handing out flyers to the patrons of the club. Not her." He laughs, curious to see my next move.

He wants to play it like that then, does he? I can play.

I smirk at him, accepting his challenge. Just to play a fun power move I stand up, grab Husk's drink and take a big gulp before putting the glass down. That truthfully wasn't the best power move. There's nothing but Burbon in that glass and it burns! Don't cough, don't cough, don't cough!

I finally feel the sensation leave my throat and I can tell Husk is impressed. Without moving my eyes from him I grab the flyers that Charlie brought and leave the group. I head over to the jukebox and begin looking through the songs. Oh, this will work just fine!

Once I press the button the surrounding music in the club gets quiet, getting the attention of everyone in the vicinity. Some are pretty upset that their tunes are gone as their eyes focus on me. Once the bass drum and bass line start, I just have to remember the words.

(( Song - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mW4FUe_ySc ))

"Welcome to the city of lies,

Where everything's got a price,

It's gonna be in your favorite place,

You can be a movie star,

And get everything you want,

Just put some plastic on your face,"

As I start the first few lines I move around the room, tail swaying seductively as I make eye contact with many patrons of the club. They're definitely interested in what I'm doing. Good.

"This place is a circus, you just see the surface,

They cover shit under the rug,"

As I continue getting closer, I run my hand along some patron's chins to keep their eyes on me, winking occasionally.

"You can't see they're faking, they'll never be naked,

Just fill your drink with tonic gin, this is the American dream, so,"

As I get to the first chorus, I have the entire establishment focused on me, including the hotel staff and guests that I came out with. They seem thoroughly entertained. I still hold the flyers in one hand as I belt out.

"Sip the gossip, drink 'til you choke,

Sip the gossip, burn down your throat,

You're not iconic, you are just like them all,

Don't act like you don't know, so,

Sip the gossip, drink 'til you choke,

Sip the gossip, burn down your throat,

You're not iconic, you are just like them all,

Don't act like you don't know."

A few hip swaying dance moves, dips, eye batting and convincing smile has everyone wanting my attention. This is going exactly how I was hoping it would.

The instrumental section gives me time to get closer to other demons. They're so excited for my attention. As I continue singing, I start putting flyers in their hands once I get close.

"Keep drinking and acting cool,

Don't care if your day is blue,

Nobody loves a gloomy face, just,

Take your pills and dance all night,

Don't think at all, that's the advice,

So c'mon, let's try, it's just a taste,"

As I get closer to my original group I do the same thing to them, making them laugh. I hand them flyers, specifically putting Angel's flyer in the fluff of his chest before continuing on.

"This place is a circus, you just see the surface,

They cover shit under the rug,

You can't see they're faking, they'll never be naked,

Just fill your drink with tonic gin, this is the American dream, so,"

Before starting the second chorus I hop up onto the bar, copying a few moves I remember seeing Angel perform when I worked undercover at the V's. This keeps everyone excited and focused as I throw a few flyers around for demons to catch.

"Sip the gossip, drink 'til you choke,

Sip the gossip, burn down your throat,

You're not iconic, you are just like them all,

Don't act like you don't know, so,

Sip the gossip, drink 'til you choke,

Sip the gossip, burn down your throat,

You're not iconic, you are just like them all,

Don't act like you don't know,"

As I spin around and look back at the crowd I notice a new figure at the back of the club, leaning against the wall watching my display. This throws me off a little, but I do my best to act like nothing has changed since everyone is still focused on me.

Alastor has one leg propped up on the wall with his arms crossed as he watches my me. I can't tell by his facial expression what he thinks of my performance. Is he disappointed? Upset? Entertained? What is he doing here?!

"So sip the gossip, drink 'til you choke,

Sip the gossip, burn down your throat,

You're not iconic, you are just like them all,

Don't act like you don't know."

I finish the final verse and hand out the last flyer, getting an uproar of applause from the club. I look down at the crowd and smile. When I look back up, Alastor is gone. I excuse myself from my group and leave the building, looking around. Once I round the corner I see him again.

"Keeping an eye on me?" I ask Alastor out of curiosity.

I know he always smiles, but the small chuckle catches me off guard a little. "Ready for your second favor?" He asks.

This makes my ears perk up. "What is it now?" A strange combination of fear but excitement hits me at the same time.

"I've told you before." Alastor looks down at me with his glowing red eyes. "I've seen you kill once. I want to see it again."
