Yuisaiga's POV

I was celebrating my 9th birthday in the mall with my dad, because my father told me that my mother died while giving birth to me, that's why I alway's blame myself for her loss but my dad will alway's comfort me and tell me that it's not my fault, that's why I'm grateful to have a father like him.

After shopping with my dad, we were going home. When we past an alleyway there's a man with a gun coming to us, when the man was closing in my dad hid me behind him while giving me the paper bags while he was getting ready to fight. How come I'm not scared you ask? It's because my dad is a champion at self defences so he's use to fighting other peoples.

"Give me your money and no one will get hurt." The man said.

"Why would I?" My dad said.

"Beacause if you don't you'll die."

"No way." My dad said. Being the tough one he is, and attacked the man.

"Oh your a stubborn one, eh?" The man said while getting  ready to fire. That's when fear got to me. Dad can't fight him if his using a gun. I thought.

"Boom!" The man shot my dad. Everything was like slow motion when my dad was falling to the ground with the bullet shotted in his heart. I didn't even notice that tear's were trickling down my face.

"Dad!" I said still crying. I was about to run to him but he stopped me.

"Run! Don't come to me, just run!-" but he was cut off because he coughed blood. "Go to the church nearby! They'll help you....live your life Yui, remeber I love you." He said with a smile. With his last breath he said. "Go run!"

"I love you too dad!" I said before running, with the paper bags.

-time skip-

I already reached the church dad told me, but I still can't stop crying. My dad, my only sibling, my only family, my father, died right infront of me, and I can't even do anything but run, I'm such a coward. I thought.

That's when pure darkness took over me and I fainted. The last thing I saw was a man with worried eye's.

3rd person's POV

The man named Sakamaki Tougo neared the girl with worried eyes, when all of a sudden she fainted. He run to the girl and picked her up, then run inside.

Yuisaiga's POV

When I woke up in a room I immidietly looked for the paper bags that was handed to me, only to find it in the corner of the room. I immidietly walked to it and looked for the locket my dad and I bought with our picture on it. I opened it and looked at our picture, which caused me to cry.

All of a sudden a man came in and walked to me.

"Who are you?" I asked wiping my tears.

"I'm Sakamaki Tougo, and you are?"

I stood up and looked at him. "Ichinose, Yuisaiga Ichinose." I said in a low tone. "But, you can call me Yui for short." I said giving a sly smile.

"Ok, Yui do you have parents?"

"No." I said while hanging my head low.

"Siblings?"

"No."

"Anyone you can go to?"

"I have no one to go to."

"Ok then you shall stay at this church then and you'll be home schooled, and I will come to check up on you when I come here to visit ok?"

You only have one chance Yuisaiga so think about it clearly. "Ok." I said with a smile.
