Chapter 6: She is one of 'The Best' we have

"Gauze?" While I was sanitizing the wound, Lily handed me the gauze. She stayed by my side the whole time assisting me in dressing the wound.

"Hold Still. This might sting." I looked at him and his eyes were fixed on my face, although I could tell from his face that it's hurting him. His wound was a deep cut, it was a stab wound. It did not rupture any of his organs. I did his stitches the second time and I looked down at him on the bed.

"I am sorry, I shouldn't have asked about the lavender smell." He said in a distorted voice. 

"How much would you rate your pain from 0-10, while 10 being the worst? 

"You're ignoring me again, I apologized." I raised my left eyebrow. "10."

"I am going to prescribe you some pain medicine, and I will keep ignoring any irrelevant comment that you make."

"You have to accept my apology." He frowned.

"Apology accepted." I glanced back.

"I have received the results from the radiology, your heart has damaged some of its tissues. Looking at the bruises anyone can tell that it was a fight. Therefore, I won't be able to treat this no more, and according to the hospital policy this case will go to the police department. They will start an investigation and treat you accordingly."

Taylor move towards me and said, "The police cannot know we are here, it will destroy Ryan's career. The paparazzi will kill for this kind of news. There are other reasons that we didn't take it to the police."

"I'm sorry I won't be able to help you because the in charge already knows that they have a case here. We don't disclose any information without the patient's consent, but it's an investigation as it was a fight."

"Let me talk to the doctor who is in-charge right now?" Ryan said. I could tell he was angry.

His gaze was harsh as he looked at me with those dark eyes. 

"I'll send him in." I turned around and left the room.

I cannot treat him. It's against the policy. How can I treat him like that? And why do I feel bad? 

I ran towards Dr. Trevor's office. I told him that HE wants to see him.

We both entered after knocking at the door. "Hey! My man.. My name is Gary Trevor. I am the doctor in charge. How are you feeling today? My daughter is a big fan of you by the way."

Ryan looked at me and him. "I am doing good, you have experienced doctors here. They gave me good first aid when they took me in and they treated me with great expertise few moments ago." He looked and me he wasn't finished yet. "Although, they don't understand the needs of the patient. I requested the hospital to be treated by this talented young lady here, and yet she refuses to keep me. She wants the police to start an investigation on me." I gasped with my eyes and mouth open. I cannot believe it.

He continued, "I will be sending my lawyer with Taylor to the police station and do you think I can be moved in this situation?"

"Woooww, easy Romeo! Dr. Luna here was just letting you know about the hospital's policy. There are some formalities that need to be done from our end when a case like yours come. Looking at your wounds, you will not be moved, although police will visit you here and investigate about what happened. We have a procedure about how every VIP case need to be handled. Your request to be treated by Dr. Luna is a completely different thing. Our police take these things seriously trust me, you will have to negotiate with the police and our legal team to get treatment from her. SHE IS ONE OF THE BEST ONES WE HAVE."

"Taylor, you heard him. 'Get a lawyer!'"

"Dr. Luna from now you'll treat him if you're reassigned to him."
