Hi everyone, before we start the story, let me chat with you for a bit. I haven't really thought about what to say, so if you feel like this introduction is a bit disjointed, that's because I didn't prepare a draft—just typing whatever comes to mind.

Let me introduce myself first. My name is Onde, that green, coconut-flavored, and coated-with-shredded coconut ball. Why this name? It just came to mind when I was thinking of a name, so I went with it. This was something I didn't dare eat while I had braces, and even now that my braces are off, I still haven't had it because cleaning my retainer is too much of a hassle. I almost never eat anything other than regular meals.

Now, let's talk about why I'm writing this story. Where should I start? Well, I've been working at home (working for the family business), and this job is so boring that I can't stand it. So I really need to find something I could do. I don't have many skills. As a graduate of Broadcasting, not working in the industry made me feel pretty useless. I didn't take my studies seriously back then! But honestly, I wasn't very interested in shooting or lighting. Scriptwriting was the only part of my coursework I truly enjoyed. Oh, and radio practical too.

I digress. This story isn't the one I most want to finish at the moment, but it's the most feasible one I have in my stash (actually, it's only the first chapter; there's no outline, so I'm just going to improvise from the first chapter, which is quite a challenge). The story I really want to finish is something I'm very passionate about, so I don't want to do a poor job on it. Instead, I'm using this story as practice, hoping to improve my skills. Recently, I feel like my Chinese has deteriorated a lot. (wah deteriorated leh hahaha)

It's also very important to me that I get a story out there. I initially planned to write it and then have someone illustrate it as a comic, but that person's efficiency has really frustrated me. One more thing—I'm writing this because I'm very broke and need money. I hope this work can bring in some income. So whether it's music or writing, I'm working for the love of it. If it works out, great; if not, I'll keep trying. Surely, things won't be too bad, right? (uhh hopefully?)
