Ava's pov :

Ava stepped into her apartment, the soft glow of the city lights casting a warm ambiance through the floor-to-ceiling windows. She kicked off her heels, feeling the cool marble floor beneath her feet. The silence enveloped her, a welcome respite from the evening's chaos.

As she drifted toward the kitchen, Ava's gaze fell upon her reflection in the mirror. Her eyes seemed distant, lost in thought. She smiled wryly, recognizing the turmoil brewing within.

"What's going on, Ava?" she asked herself aloud, her voice barely above a whisper.

She poured herself a glass of wine, the crimson liquid glinting in the dim light. Ava settled onto the couch, cradling the glass in her hands. The city lights twinkled outside, but her focus remained inward.

Tonight had been a blur of faces, conversations, and forced smiles. Yet, one encounter stood out - jungkook. His piercing eyes, his enigmatic smile, and the way he moved with fluid confidence.

Ava's thoughts swirled, replaying their dance, their conversation.

She took a sip of wine, feeling the smooth liquid slide down her throat. Ava closed her eyes, letting her head fall back against the couch.

"Why can't I shake him off?" she whispered, her voice laced with frustration.

Ava's mind wandered to her family's past. Her parents' faces floated into her memory - warm smiles, loving gazes, and gentle laughter. The ache of their loss still lingered, a constant reminder of the void they left behind.

Her parents had died in a tragic car accident, but the circumstances had always seemed shrouded in mystery. Ava's brother, Alex, had been tight-lipped about the details, fueling her curiosity.

As she grew older, Ava's questions multiplied. What had really happened that night? Was it truly an accident, or was something more sinister at play?

Ava's thoughts churned with a mix of emotions - grief, frustration, and a deep-seated desire for answers. She wanted to uncover the secrets surrounding her parents' death, to understand the truth.

The city lights outside seemed to pulse in rhythm with her heartbeat. Ava's eyes remained closed, her thoughts tumbling through the darkness.

As the night wore on, exhaustion crept in, weighing her eyelids down. Ava's thoughts began to blur, Jungkook's face merging with memories of her parents.

In the haze of sleep, Ava's mind whispered questions: Who was Jungkook? What did he want from her? And what secrets lay hidden in her family's past?

Ava's wine glass slipped from her fingers, landing softly on the couch cushion. Her body relaxed, surrendering to the allure of sleep.

As she drifted off, the city lights outside seemed to fade into the background, replaced by the echoes of her own heartbeat.
