"Hey, Tae, you've got detention again?" Jimin's voice echoed down the hall, a blend of amusement and concern.

Taehyung looked up from his book, a faint blush creeping up his cheeks. "Yeah, I guess I can't help being a troublemaker." He shrugged, trying to play it cool.

Jungkook approached them, his tray of textbooks and notebooks clutched to his chest. He ducked his head shyly. "I got a detention too." The words slipped out in a rush, as if he feared someone might snatch them away if he didn't speak quickly enough.

Jimin's eyes widened in surprise. "Jungkook, you too?" He looked between the two of them, his gaze lingering on Jungkook. "Taehyung, what did you do now?"

Jungkook's eyes grew even wider, and he took a step back, shaking his head vigorously. "No, no, Jimin hyung. It's not like that. It's my fault Taehyung got detention." His voice was small, but the earnestness in it was unmistakable.

Taehyung rolled his eyes, a smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Don't worry about it, Jimin. It's just a little detention. Besides, I don't mind the company." He playfully nudged Jungkook with his elbow.

Jimin studied the two of them for a moment, his expression unreadable, before finally breaking into a grin. "Alright, I'll let you two lovebirds go," he teased before sauntering away, leaving Taehyung and Jungkook standing awkwardly in the hallway.

The detention room was a small, sparse space with only a few desks and chairs. The light from the single window cast a warm glow over the old, worn-out textbooks scattered across the floor. Jungkook took a seat at the desk nearest the door, his eyes darting around the room nervously. Taehyung sat across from him, a mischievous glint in his eye.

"Seriously, Jungkook, don't worry about it," Taehyung said, his voice gentle. "Getting detention is kind of a hobby of mine. It's no big deal."

Jungkook bit his bottom lip, his eyes downcast. "But I didn't mean for you to get into trouble because of me." His voice was barely above a whisper, and Taehyung could see the genuine regret etched on his features.

Leaning forward, Taehyung reached out and placed a comforting hand on Jungkook's arm. "It's okay," he assured him. "I chose to help you, bunny. It's not like you forced me. Besides, I'd rather be here with you than anywhere else."

The room grew quiet for a moment, the tension hanging thick in the air. Jungkook's eyes met Taehyung's, and the older boy felt his heart skip a beat. He hadn't meant for his words to sound so... personal. But Jungkook's shy smile told him it was okay.

The silence was broken by the clatter of the teacher's footsteps down the hall. Jungkook visibly relaxed, the tension in his shoulders easing. Taehyung couldn't help but feel a little disappointed that their moment had been interrupted.

The teacher, a stern-looking man with a furrowed brow, unlocked the door and stepped inside. He looked at the two of them, his gaze lingering on Taehyung's hand still resting on Jungkook's arm. "Take your seats, both of you," he barked, slamming a thick book on the desk

.

Taehyung pulled his hand away, his cheeks flushing a little more. Jungkook blinked rapidly, looking everywhere but at Taehyung. The teacher glared at them before turning to write something on the board.

Under the guise of opening their textbooks, the two of them exchanged glances, a silent understanding passing between them. They were in this together now. And as much as Taehyung loved the thrill of breaking the rules, he couldn't help but feel a sense of camaraderie with Jungkook, the shy boy who had unwittingly drawn him into this mess.

As the detention dragged on, the two of them found themselves sharing stories and laughter, their earlier embarrassment forgotten. Jungkook slowly came out of his shell, his cheeks pinking every time Taehyung threw a teasing remark his way. And Taehyung? He found himself enjoying the company more than he had anticipated.
