Leila, Grace, and Wayde stepped out of
the car, the low thrum of bass already vibrating through the ground as they made their way toward the house. The street was filled with students, some laughing, others already getting rowdy with keg stands in the front yard.

Neon paint glowed under the black lights that decorated the entrance. It was vastly different from the last party Leila and Grace had attended; the atmosphere was lighter, more fun, with a sense of carefree celebration that hung in the air. This party seemed less about chaos and more about making memories.

Wayde glanced at Grace, his expression somewhere between annoyance and resignation. "You didn't tell me this was at Dane's house," he said, his tone slightly accusing. "You kept that quiet."

Grace, who was walking beside him, rolled her eyes dramatically. "Because if I had told you, you wouldn't have come," she retorted, flashing him a teasing grin.

Wayde sighed, his steps slowing as they neared the front door. "And for good reason," he muttered. "There's always something with those guys. Dane and his crew aren't exactly known for making nights like these easy."

Grace nudged him playfully with her shoulder. "Oh, come on, Wayde. You need to grow up. This night is about good vibes and making memories, not grudges. You can't spend your life avoiding things just because someone you don't like is there. Otherwise, you'll end up with a pretty sad, lonely existence."

Wayde let out a long breath, grabbing the bag filled with their alcohol from the backseat. "I'm not here for him. I'm here for you two," he said, his voice tinged with a resigned acceptance.

Grace shot him a triumphant smile, clearly pleased that she had managed to convince him. "Exactly. So let's go make some memories!" she said brightly, before turning to the driver and thanking them for the ride.

Leila followed Grace's lead, thanking the driver before stepping out and taking in the scene around her. The party felt alive in a way that was hard to describe. The neon outfits and glow sticks made everyone look like they had stepped out of another world, and the laughter, the music, the glow of excitement—everything felt electrified.

As they made their way up the front steps, Leila couldn't help but take it all in. The house itself was a mansion, decorated to the nines for the party. Black lights lit up every corner, making the neon clothing and paint on the partygoers pop. A massive sound system had been set up in the living room, and the beat of the music pulsed through every wall. There was even a mini bar with someone serving drinks behind the counter, a feature Leila hadn't expected at all.

"Wow," Leila whispered, her eyes wide with amazement as she took in the scene.

Wayde, less impressed, gave a small shrug as they crossed the threshold into the house. "Yeah, this is exactly what I expected from Dane. Over the top, full of show." He nodded toward the mini bar and the extravagant setup. "He's got money to burn, and he loves to show it"
