I initially was never going to publish this work as it was more of a self indulgent piece I started writing almost a year ago. However, after enduring the five stages of grief post season 4 I thought that I should just publish this bc why not!
Before you begin reading there are a few things which I want to clarify!
This work is also published on Archive Of Our Own under my username 'heartofthehedonistpoet06'. I decided to also upload on Wattpad so I could incorporate incorporate some visuals aspects as seen above.
What If the Storm Ends?' is based pre season one of The Umbrella Academy and will diverge from the canon storyline quite significantly.
Viktor is still referred to as Vanya in this pre season 1 context, however as this story continues I will shift to using Viktor in accordance to the narrative as it is not something I wish to ignore. :)
There is no extreme or weird age gap between Five and Octavia, despite being born eighteen years apart they meet in the apocalypse when they're 14 and 15. You'll learn that this is a paradox caused by Five's jump to the future but regardless they are effectively the same age.
And just the usual disclaimer that this story has absolutely no affiliation with the actors that face claim these characters such as Aidan or Isabella, this work is purely fiction. I also do not own any of the characters in this story except for 'Octavia' as she is my own female original character whom I conjured from my own imagination.
