"It's stressful, and the truth is I need to go back to Jace because he's part of the vision. "After all, I'll finally have a friend," I said. I jogged to the classroom door, opened it, and looked at Jace. He was sitting cross-legged, playing with the phone. He turned his face to me and stood up. "You took a long time. What did he want?"

I started walking beside him, sighing in despair. "You don't want to know. Sorry, and thank you for waiting for me."

"We will get lost, so we can get to know each other, can't we?"

I smiled. "What do you want to know?"

"Why did Billy leave you in class with him?" His gaze became serious.

Why is it so important for him to know? "Something is happening between him and Dylan, my older brother. He inquired about him and stated, "That doesn't mean I'll protect him." I responded with a gentle tone. It is part of the truth.

"Good," he replied.

"So, what do you like to do? Besides being on the phone?" I asked with curiosity. I want to know everything about him, and that is my mission.

"I like boxing and drawing. I know it doesn't go together, but I like it. It gives me peace."

"I also like to draw, but about boxing... I would like to know more because it looks interesting." I lowered my head out of embarrassment because I felt warmth in my stomach. It turns out that we have a lot in common, but I didn't fall in love with him; I thought about it with discomfort.

I heard Jace's steps stop. I halted after him and looked up at him. "What happened? Why did you stop?"

"Do you want to tell me why you're blushing?" His gaze seemed like he wanted to understand me.

There's no way for me to tell him what I think. "It's just that it embarrassed me to say I'm interested in boxing..."

He laughed, "Why? Because it's a boy's sport? Because girls box too—"

"No, because it's a sport only those who are strong can survive in, and I'm not like that." I expressed my opinion with a heavy heart. I tried to keep walking, but Jace grabbed my arm without warning and pulled me close to him, which made me look back.

Warmth returned to my stomach. "I know we met today. But, you seem smart and strong. "So, you can win anything, even in boxing," he said with a friendly tone. I had never heard him speak like that in my life. "You only met him today," my mind reminded me.

I shook my head. "Boxing is like life; the strong survive and live as they want. The weak, on the other hand... they succeed but less." I shook off his hold and continued walking; he followed me.

"Maybe you say that because that's how you see yourself—insecure and not knowing your worth—but I do."

"How do you know? You only met me today?"

"So I want to get to know you as much as possible, and I'll prove you wrong about yourself."

"Thank you," I said with genuine appreciation, and we continued walking to the library. "I'm glad to talk to you."

It was nice to talk to you, even though we didn't talk much... maybe next time."

We arrived at the door next to a sign saying "library." I entered after Jace opened the door for me like a gentleman. He entered after me. There was a table with a librarian at the entrance, and she looked at us. "Hey, have you come to get textbooks?" We both nodded, and the librarian turned towards the books in bags with names on them. She took each bag to her desk one at a time, and Jace took his.

Meanwhile, I examined all the books on the shelves and noticed that not all were textbooks. I thought.

I heard footsteps approaching in my direction, so I turned my head to see who it was. I noticed that Jace was examining the books. The first question that came to my mind was, does he also like to read? And if so, which books?

"Do you like to read?" Jace, intrigued by the title, picked up the first book he saw, "Murder at the Theater of Death," and read the synopsis.

"Yeah, I've gotten through a lot of books in my life. I've read every book in the world. There's not much to do when you can't die, I thought. "Fantasy and psychology books are my main interests," I answered in a few words. I also took a romance book and examined it. "And you?" I asked, looking up at him. "Are you reading?"

He frowned and hesitated to answer, finally answering in a whisper, "Between us, the truth is, but it's not that popular among boxers who like to read..."

"Let me guess, do you read self-help books? Books to learn from? Like 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad'?"

He laughed out loud. It's the first time I've seen him laugh, and it's the prettiest voice I've heard. "No, I mean also but not only... I read fantasy books, like you."

For a moment, I raised my eyebrows in surprise. So it turns out there are many things in common, I thought.

"Children," the librarian called, and we turned around. We saw that bags were already on the table, and each bag had at least nine books. It is heavy for humans, even trainers.

So Jace and I took the bags and left for the parking lot. I don't know if I have another class. I have no way to check because the system is in the bag for hours, and my hands are busy. I can't let him check because someone wrote I have a supernatural class. First, I must understand his relationship to grasp his connection to the vision.

"Amelia," Jace said with a furrowed brow, "how do you have two bags of textbooks, and I only have one?"

"Because I learn something else besides what we learn, I also study art," I replied. Well, the truth is that it is not so false.

We got to the parking lot, which was half-empty, and I accompanied him on his black motorcycle. "Is this yours?"

He opened the big box and put the books inside. "Yes, and I also have a license." He looked at me. "Do you want a ride?"

Despite my hesitation, I realized I had only met him that day. I had to earn his trust. He took my hands and wrapped them around his waist.

Jace put on a helmet and drove toward the forest. "Well, because I don't know where you live, tell me where to turn."

"OK," I agreed after hesitating, recognizing that my emotions had led me into this situation. Since I realized we were similar, I felt things for him for the first time.

"Which direction should I take?" he wondered, standing in the clearing.

Can you drop me off at this location? Let Chris know I have a friend and someone else connected to the vision; I'm missing that from him.

Jace stopped at the end of the clearing and took off his helmet. "There's no way I'm letting you walk alone in the woods."

I also took off my helmet and got off the motorcycle. I approached him and hugged him. "Don't worry, and thank you for driving me." I took the bags with the books and returned home.
