NEXT MORNING

Jiha served the lightest and healthy breakfast to her brother, who had it deliciously since he was habitually eating light food and did not complain about it for once.

Jungkook went back to his room after breakfast to read some storybooks. It's been one year he has not been going to school for his health issues. He needed someone to watch over him all the time, which caused Jiha to have no proper job. She did not hate it; she wanted him to be healthy, and she was doing a job to provide the money for his medicines, even though it should not be considered a legal and respectful job.

"Yes, appointment with Mr. Han." Jiha spoke over the phone as she looked down at her own bowl of cornflakes.

"At 11 am, ma'am."

The answer satisfied her as she scooped a spoonful of cornflakes, attending the call. She was about to pour it in her mouth when a fist grabbed her hand and moved it up to pour it into his mouth.

Her eyes flickered a bit as she tilted her head to the right, only to find Hoseok leaning close to him as he stuffed the cornflakes in his mouth.

She backed away, realizing the closeness between their faces as he had one of his hands rested on the head of the chair, she was sitting while the other hand grabbed her hand. Her eyes got stuck to his side profile, examining the sharp jawline of him.

He snapped his eyes at her, and the sudden eye contact grew butterflies in her stomach as she stiffened in her position and gulped hard. Her throat struggled to make any words to offer him, so she stayed silent.

He shoved a few spoonfuls of cornflakes into his mouth as his breakfast, as his fingers were still on her hand, using her hand as a medium of holding the spoon.

Hoseok glanced down at her cherry lips that were wet due to the milk from the cornflakes and leaned in, pressing a soft kiss on her lips, sending her senses away. Her eyes widen for a second before they return to their normal size.

He pulled himself up and walked to the main entrance to leave the apartment. Her eyes followed him there as she smelt his perfume still lingering around her.

"Excuse me, hello ma'am.. are you there?"

Jiha snapped to reality hearing the lady talking to her over the phone call.

"Ye..yeah, sorry." Jiha apologized, holding the phone close to her ear in embarrassment. She was again being shamelessly and staring at him, which was a sin to do.

The lady concluded the phone call after giving her some details as Jiha thanked her and hung up the phone.

She placed the device on the table beside her bowl and stared at her right hand, where he had his grip a few moments ago. As if she could still feel his touches there.

Stupid.

She thought of herself as one. Actually, she was stupid enough to fall for him daily. But again, who wouldn't be, after the way he acts around her? He might be rude and arrogant, even selfish sometimes, but her heart was so naive that it ignored all of them and just remembered the sweet gestures of him.

"Is he taking his medicines from time to time, Ms. Jiha?" The male doctor asked as he wrote down some other medicines on the prescription.

"Yes, doctor, I am making sure of that. But sometimes he faced severe problems in breathing." Jiha explained as her eyes went to her brother, who was sitting beside her, looking at some showpiece that was placed on the desk of the doctor.
