Neither the sunlight nor any sound of alarm, Jiha's sleep broke eventually on her regular routine around 6:30 in the morning. The room was still dark; windows closed with thick, dark curtains as she laid down on his bed beside him.

Jiha stared at the man sleeping beside her. His eyelashes, his lips, the nose, that jawline... everything seemed perfect to her.

It only saddened her to think that she would not be able to keep him even if she tried hard; she could not fight her fate. Eventually a day would come when she had to walk away from him. Even the thought made her afraid of the future, but she had nothing to do about it.

Her eyes traveled to the fancy wall clock in his room; that was tickling continuously, and it was about 6:45 AM, she had to get up.

Jiha gently held his arm, which was wrapped around her bare waist. She removed it slowly from her as she slipped off from his grasp. As she placed his arm on the empty bed, the sight made her heart clench.

His engagement ring.

The ring glowed even if the room was not so bright. Her body stiffened as she stared at the ring. She knew the reality, but seeing it only made her hurt even more. She did not need the reminder that he was not hers in the early morning.

Being courageous, she left the bed as she rushed to his washroom and grabbed a bathrobe before wrapping herself in it. She returned to the room and grabbed her clothes from the floor before she glanced up at him once again.

She bit her bottom lip, stopping herself from letting out any sobs. With a sigh, she twisted her body and left his room.

Jiha was sure that Jungkook had not woken up at this hour, so she went to her room and then the washroom. She threw her clothes that she carried to the room, into the bucket before she took a shower.

Her heart felt so heavy that day, may be because of the sight of the ring around his ring finger. But she was strong enough to let those thoughts sideways and focused on preparing the breakfast for themselves.

Jungkook woke up after half an hour when Jiha went to the kitchen. He brushed his teeth and cleaned his face before he came to the dinner as usual.

"Good morning, Kookie." Jiha greeted him with a warm smile, her hands going to his hairs, ruffling them a little. "Did you sleep well? You had a breathing problem?"

"I slept good, noona." The teenager smiled.

"Here, drink the warm water first." She said, pushing the glass of warm water to her brother. He grabbed it with both hands before he gulped down the water. She watched him fondly. "I'm bringing your breakfast."

Jiha informed then walked back to the kitchen, not so far.

"Noona, bring Hyung's breakfast as well. He has woke up too."

For a moment, her actions stopped before she gazed outside the kitchen to see the dining table. Hoseok was sitting around the table across Jungkook; he had his eyes pinned to his phone screen as he was dressed up for office; only his coat was missing.

"Bringing." She softly shouted as she turned back to her work.

She served the breakfast on the table, but Hoseok remained busy on his phone, looking not so happy about something. She assumed it was because of work; even if it was not, she was not going to ask him about the frown on his face.

"What did you prepare for breakfast?"

Hoseok's sudden question made her flinch a bit before she composed herself to be normal. She gazed at him, and he put his phone back on the table and lifted his eyes up, and their eyes met.
