The explosion burnt the tips of the grass, not even grazing your skin.
Kirishima stood at the sideline where the trees began, wiping the sweat from his skin with a towel as he watched his former opponent not even breaking a sweat in the second round.
You.
Bakugo had become better. He knew that you possessed inhuman strength, something he didn't question as he quickly put a strategy together in his head, his goal to defeat you and make you eat shit.
You had dodged every attack he sent at you with grace, your body reacting quickly enough to jump up or to the side.
However, it wasn't his goal to harm you. Not yet.
Your quirk consisted of an invisible gas, something he couldn't fully comprehend to take a risk. He had to find out if he could blast your quirk away.
Right hook. Dodged. Feint and attack. Dodged.
You hadn't even activated your quirk yet, leaving him in the delusion to stay at a distance and not get any closer.
The perfect opportunity hasn't come yet.
He lunged at you again, his blasts making him move faster and faster as he put his palms in front of him in the last second, the smoke making you cough. The ashes stained your face while you reacted quickly, grabbing his wrist and throwing him onto the ground.
The earth started to crack, forming around the place where he had been thrown.
"You didn't even activate your quirk? ARE YOU UNDERESTIMATING ME?", yelled he, not letting the pain take over him.
Not wasting a single moment, he readied his palm, grabbing the wrist of your hand that was still holding him in place, his attack on your skin leaving a wound in the form of his handprint on your flesh.
You didn't hesitate to twist his wrist, breaking the bands of it as he groaned in pain, his grip on you loosening as you let go.
"I won", you declared.
You walked off to the treeline, towards Kirishima as you could feel the despised gaze of the defeated boy on your back.
The blood trickled down from your wound to the grass, each drop slowly gliding down the grass halm before it landed on the dirt, trapping some ants in it as it left a whole trail of blood on your way back.
It didn't go unnoticed by the defeated boy.
Kirishima threw a water bottle at you which you caught, opening it with a click before you took some sips out of it.
"I need to improve my combat", Kirishima said, stretching himself as he pulled his arms over his head, his muscles straining.
"Yes. Your offense is weak", you boldly claimed, putting the watter bottle onto a nearby wood trunk, letting yourself sit on it as your hands supported your body as you leaned back, your head falling into your neck to watch the surroundings.
"From where did you find this location?", asked you.
"I once went for a walk and tripped"
The conifers were verdant, each one varying in colour as they swung in the rhythmic beat of the air. Somewhere in the far, an owl could be heard. The birds - which had rested on the branks - flew into the air, rustling the leaves they had flown through, some of the leaves falling to the ground in a soft dance.
"IT DOESN'T COUNT AS TRAINING IF YOU DON'T USE YOUR QUIRK, HOLE EYES!"
The distant scream of a familiar blonde could be heard through the forest, scaring the animals away.
