At home, balancing motherhood and recovery was a delicate dance. Emma was growing rapidly, her milestones coming faster than Lucy could keep up. Tim was an amazing father, taking on more responsibilities to allow Lucy the time she needed for her recovery. One evening, as they were preparing dinner, Lucy found herself overwhelmed by a wave of emotion. She watched Tim feed Emma, her heart aching with a mix of gratitude and guilt.
Tim noticed her distress and gently asked, "What's on your mind?"
Lucy looked down, trying to hold back tears. "I just feel like I'm missing so much. I want to be more involved with Emma, but it's hard when I'm still recovering."
Tim came over, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "You're doing more than you realize. It's okay to feel this way. Emma knows you love her, and she's growing up surrounded by people who care about her."
Lucy took a deep breath, nodding. "I just want to be there for her more."
Tim hugged her tightly. "You will be. And in the meantime, we're all here for you. We'll find a way to make it work."
