The Realm of Eternity Into the Unknown

Investigation day

I woke up early to have time to go through my growing wardrobe. Any of the outfits brought to me throughout my stay here have been washed and put back in my drawers for days like today where I don't necessarily need a brand new outfit.

I picked out a dark blue blouse with ruffled sleeves, golden silky skin tight pants, and one of my dark blue jackets to finish the outfit. I'm staring out my window watching the family start to come to life and milling about the garden with their morning drinks in hand chatting with the beings they know.

Some are hurrying by as if on their way to wherever they need to be for the day, and the gardeners are busy tending to the garden in the midst of it all. A soft knock on my door breaks me from my people watching. I walked to the door and opened it up to see Electra.

"Good morning." She says a large grin on her face.

"Good morning. I'm ready to go when you are."

"Oh goodie you got permission!" She exclaims bouncing in place a little.

"I did Asta came to see me last night and said it was fine and he'd let Luca know I wasnt training today."

"Ooo you saw Asta how was that?"

"It was as wonderful as always he was worried after yesterday."

"That's so sweet. I never thought I'd say that about Asta but I haven't seen him entertain a single female but you since you arrived. So I would say you're doing something good to him." She says as we start walking off toward the library.

"It was sweet. He means a lot to me. I really am lucky to have met him. He gave me a place in this world, gave me a home when I never had one. He has been by my side through a lot in this realm I do have more memories with him than Zephyr already. Have you ever met someone who you just feel like youve known your whole life? There is no awkwardness there it's easy from the start like youre old friends falling in love." I ask as we walk.

She smiles at me sadly and to my surprise since I thought I made no sense she says yes.

"Around the same time Celene died we lost another member of the family as well. His name was Abner and from the moment we met when I locked eyes with him I felt like I knew him when it was impossible for me to know him as he had just started living with us. Everything with him was easy and perfect and we fell in love fast and hard. He was also in love with free diving and one day and he went diving and never came home. His body was found a few days later washed ashore."

"I'm so sorry I made you think about that." She waves her hand at me.

"it was years ago and while I think it will always hurt me a bit, and I know I'll always miss him, but I have come to terms with it I can talk about it a bit. I just wanted you to know I understand how you feel toward Asta."

"Thank you. I think I'd feel the same if I lost Asta."

"How do you feel about Zephyr?" She asks me as we exit the mansion and walk toward the path into town.

"Zephyr is gorgeous, but a mystery still. The awkwardness is there that comes with most new relationships, but there is potential you know. He deserves a chance especially when I know if given the chance I could have stronger feelings for him. It is all just very complicated when I think about it too hard."

"Yikes. That definitely sounds messy."

"It is, but I agreed to their terms and maybe the decision will get easier the more dates we go on."

"Hopefully." She giggles a bit. "We shall move on from your messy love life for now since it's now investigation time as we've made it to the library." She says holding her arms out gesturing to the massive building that towers up within and around this massive tree that sits on the outskirts of the town. The library truly has fairy tale tree house vibes.
