Noah stuck to his word. The tour had finished a couple of weeks ago and he promised once he'd got settled back at home then he would arrange an official date.

Marie had moved in with me since she had admitted to me and the guys that things at home with George weren't all they seemed. At this point she might as well had moved in permanently.

"Mar? Why didn't you tell me you and George had hit a rough spot?" I asked her as I was looking at outfits for my date with Noah.

She just shrugged, "After the interview he just became so cold towards me Liv. We've been together for 5 years but it's like I hardly know him." I sat on my bed next to her, "So you know how I moved in with him last month?" I nodded, "Well he has blackout blinds everywhere and I mean everywhere. He never opens them so the whole apartment is in constant darkness apart from the artificial light or the candles that are lit."

"Have you asked him why he doesn't open them?"

She nodded, "The day I went to open the ones in the bedroom." She sighed, "Liv I've never seen him move so fast to stop me." She paused, "Do you know what his excuse was?" I looked at her, silently urging her to continue, "He's allergic to sunlight."

"You know that is an actual medical condition right? It's super rare but it is a real thing Mar." I took her hand, "He probably didn't want to scare you."

She sighed, "He's never mentioned it to me before. I did find it suspicious that we only hung out once the sun goes down." She looked at me shaking her head, "Did Noah say anything about your date?"

I shook my head, "All he said was to dress casual and that was about it. Marie, I have no idea about casual dates. How long ago was my last date?" I whined, "What if he takes one look at me and decides that we're not right for each other?"

"Liv, if he didn't think you were right for each other do you honestly think he'd be blowing up your phone as much as he is?" I shook my head again, "Want my opinion? You two are perfect for each other and if he doesn't ask you to be his girlfriend tonight, I will personally go to the mall, buy a hat and eat it. That's how confident I am."

-Noah-

Last time I was this nervous was when I asked Lou to be my girlfriend. No, that's a lie. It was when I accidentally revealed what sort of creature I was in front of her. Jolly still gives me a hard time about it. I've tried fighting my feelings for Liv but they seem to get stronger everyday and it terrifies me.

"Your big date tonight." Nicholas placed his hands on my shoulders almost calming my anxiety. "Are you well fed?" I looked up at him, "Have another bag just incase. You can never be too safe."

I couldn't speak. There was a lump forming in my throat. I felt as if history was repeating itself. Just after the tour had finished, the missing reports started appearing again. We all knew they weren't missing. Females were being drained by a member of our kind.

But why now?

"What's on your mind Noah?" Nicholas has the ability to manipulate emotions and to dive into the subconscious thoughts of a person. He promised that he would never use it on us but I'm guessing my emotions are plastered all over my face.

"I feel like history is repeating itself Nic and honestly I'm terrified. I know I have Jolly's blessing and confirmation to make things official with Olivia but what happens if history does repeat itself with me Nic? What happens if I suddenly find myself happy and it gets ripped away from me again?"

"What happened to Lou will never happen to Olivia. You have my word Noah." Nicholas looked me dead in the eye. "We're stronger than what we were 30 years ago. Jolly has warmed up to the idea of us having relationships with humans just as long as he meets them first before we reveal who we really are. Which you know Olivia has already passed, and Folio isn't an uncontrollable newborn. We have this covered. She will be safe." Nicholas was never wrong. Another reason why he is my closest friend.

"She'll say yes by the way." Folio chimed in.

"What did I say about looking into her future Folio?" I started laughing. Out of all of us, I was the only one who hadn't unlocked an ability. But I was the strongest fighter out all of us.

"I didn't!" He raised his hands, "It's just clear to everyone apart from you that she likes you. Dare I even say the L word without you hitting me?"

"She doesn't even know the real me." I groaned, "If she loves me like you all say then let's see what happens when I tell her who we really are. We got lucky in the past."

"Are you actually hearing yourself right now?" Now it was Jolly's turn, "I saw the type of person she is. She'll be confused at first but Nick's right. She loves the person the public thinks they know but once she actually knows who you are she'll love you even more." I fucking hated all of them but deep down I knew they were right.

I was worrying over nothing.
