"I made another mistake, thought I could change, thought I could make it out." The haunting voice played out from the radio. "Promises break need to hear you say. You're gonna keep it now."
I knew this band, they had been under the radar until one of their songs blew up on a popular app. Bad Omens. Now, there was no denying that the app was the reason I was familiar with their music. But his voice. Everytime I heard his voice, it was like there was a sense of danger to it.
"You okay there Olivia?" My best friend Marie waved her hand in front of my face, "You kinda spaced out there." She looked at me confused.
I shook my head coming out of my trance like state, "Yeah, I'm okay."
"As I was saying, George has got us tickets to a show tonight." She smiled. George, her boyfriend, was a music journalist who often reviewed gigs. Most of these gigs he would often get Marie tickets for so they could spend time together while he worked. "I begged him to get you a ticket the second I knew who it was he was reviewing!"
I looked at her suspiciously raising my eyebrow. "Marie? You did what? Who's playing?" The smirk remained on her lips. "Marie? Who?"
She laughed, "Seriously Liv? They're all over the place! I'm surprised you haven't worked it out yet." She laughed more, "And they are your favourite band at the moment."
"Wait?" I stopped what I was doing again, "George got us into Bad Omens? Marie! That show sold out within 5 minutes of it going on sale! How did he manage that?" I was freaking out, I had been dying to see them live for a while now.
"He may have told his boss that he knew two extra people that would be willing to help him out tonight. George is reviewing the sets, but we my friend... are going to be interviewing them." She was jumping up and down in excitement. "I know I'm with George but he doesn't hold a torch to Ruffilo."
I rolled my eyes, "What are you thinking is going to happen? You and Ruffilo are going to lock eyes and you're both going to run off into the sunset?" I started laughing, "Mar you're my best friend but come on, he's a rockstar that's probably had his fair share of groupies. Who knows what he's got."
Marie playfully shoved my shoulder, "Says you. You're going to be in the same room with the one and only Noah Sebastian. You're single and he's single. You never know, this could be fate." She looked at her phone, "George is heading over there in an hour. We need to get ready."

I looked at myself in the mirror. We had gotten to the venue half an hour after George. Marie had ran off to find her boyfriend and left me wondering what the hell I was even doing agreeing with her. I didn't know the first thing about journalism, never mind interviewing my favourite band.
"Come on Olivia," I was talking to myself in the mirror, "You can do this, they're just 4 normal guys. You've spoken to guys before so this should be a walk in the park." I sighed walking over to the water fountain. I was right. This should be a walk in the park.
After I used the fountain, I fixed the press pass that was hanging around my neck before leaving the bathroom and colliding straight into a solid chest, causing me to trip over my own feet.
"Sorry I should have been watching where I was going." A heavily tattooed hand came into my line of vision. "The guys have always said I walk as if my head is in the clouds." I know that voice. "Are you going to accept my hand or are we going to be here all day?"
I took his hand slowly and I was right. In all of his 6 foot 3 glory stood Noah Sebastian.
"I'm sorry, I should have been watching where I was going as I came out of the bathroom." I quickly brushed my hands on the back of my jeans.
"A pretty girl like you shouldn't be wandering around backstage alone." He smirked, "You never know what creatures are hiding about." He walked away towards the green room leaving me confused. What did he mean?
