Yakshit's Pov:

I was going through mails, sitting in my room when the door bursted open and there she entered, slamming the door behind her. The sound echoed through the closed space, and she stood in front on me.

"Here to see how I am preparing myself for my upcoming doom? Or you couldn't wait to meet your soon-to-be husband?" I asked, not making any attempt to conceal the sarcasm in my voice. I raised an eyebrow in question, taking in her angry—no, raged form.

It had been more than two hours of the announcement, and the rest of the dinner went in silence from our side. It looks like Kimaayra Ahuja is finally out of shock.

"Oh please, Husband my foot!" Her face reddened with anger, as she took a step closer to me. "Do you think you are the one forced into this? Think about me, who is pushed down the cliff by her own family. That too with a egoistic, jerk, self-centered—"

"Stop. I can't so take so many compliments at once," I interrupted her list, which I believe must be never-ending, and added, "I feel special, you see."

"You are disgusting." She spat, her hands clenched into fists.

I chuckled, standing from the bed after keeping the laptop aside. "And you are a drama queen."

"You are so arrogant that humbleness has also officially disowned you." She said, her voice laced with vemon. Is she making any sense? Does she even care? I questioned myself, before shrugging the thought, knowing how impossible she can be.

"You are a spoiled brat who does nothing other than being a princess." I retorted, not planning to accept defeat.

"How dare you? I am a princess for my family because they love me. But, you won't understand, your family doesn't like you that's why they didn't consider your opinion some time back." She replied, making me narrow my eyes at her.

If she think she can provoke me with such dialogue, then she's going right. I so want to go and vent out my fury on every single member of my family who kicked me in this trouble.

"If that's the case, why did your parents didn't listen when you were saying no to their decision?" I questioned, crossing my arms, and for a moment she was speechless.

Something flashed in her eyes...hurt and disappointment, if I am not wrong, but she masked that quickly.

"That also because of you. They have a misconception that you are some sort of angel, and they planned to hang you in my neck for lifetime." She said, blaming me for her misery.

Wait, what did say...lifetime? Exactly! That's so stressful, considering I can't stand her for more than few minutes itself.

"That's not my problem. I doubt, why my family picked you for me. I am sure they didn't even see a single quality, but still—" I was damn serious, and she interrupted me.
