After he left, I felt the weight of what had happened sinking in. I sighed, feeling my heart sink. Maybe I shouldn't have asked him such a sensitive question.
With a heavy heart, I called Leela over and handed her the food, telling her I couldn't go out now as it was getting dark. I didn't want to face anyone or answer any questions at the moment.
I stormed out , my mind a roil of thoughts and emotions. I couldn't believe she had even asked me such a thing. I made my way out of the tent, trying to control the anger that was threatening to bubble over.
I sat down on a rock, brooding in the quiet solitude of my tent. My mind kept replaying the conversation over and over, the question she had asked still ringing in my ears.
I clenched my fists in frustation, my anger still simmering just below the surface. How could she even think I would consider marrying another woman? The very idea was repugnant to me. I was committed to her, and only her.
I couldn't understand how she could even entertain the possibility of me marrying someone else. Every fiber of my being resisted the notion, rejecting it utterly and completely.
I had been sitting on the rock, staring up at the moon, when I heard a familiar voice. I looked up to see Advay standing there, a concerned expression on his face.
"Yuvraj, what are you doing here so late at night?" he asked.I felt a pang of irritation as Advay approached me, but I forced myself to keep my cool.
Just go away shuuuu
I didn't want him here right now. I didn't want anyone around, I just wanted to be alone with my thoughts.
"I came here to get some air," I responded, my voice tight and clipped.
