— JULIEN SETTLED INTO THE BACKSEAT, eyes fixed on the passing streets as Diego drove in silence, punctuated only by Five's occasional directions.
As darkness settled in, the streets fell into a hushed stillness, broken only by the distant shouts of drunken revelers and the rustling of trees swaying in the wind.
The car rolled to a stop, and the three of them sat quietly, gazing at the building looming outside. The moment lingered until a nearby streetlamp flickered on, shattering their reverie. Five let out a resigned sigh and swung open his door. "This is it."
Julien squinted at the umbrella sign as he stepped closer to the entrance. "D.S. Umbrella. This is it," Diego read aloud, glancing at Five, who regarded the building with uncertainty. "You okay?"
Five hesitated, his expression unreadable. "Yeah, I'm okay." He took a deep breath, preparing himself. "Just..."
Julien stood beside him, sensing the unease radiating from Five. A frown crossed his face as a subtle wave of anxiety washed over him.
Diego knelt down in front of the door and got to work on the lock, "How long's it been since you've seen the old man?" he asked.
"Forty-five years," Five replied, his focus still locked on the door.
Diego huffed when the lock wouldn't budge, moving back reluctantly when Julien motioned him to step away from the door and knelt down next to the lock, "That's a trip." He continued.
