My parents didn't not travel again after a week, for the first time in my entire life they stayed longer.
I don't know how long but I hated it, they were always watching me somehow.
So know I was juggling ballet, school, my parents and Olivia, though I have no issue with carrying for Olivia.
I have been visiting her every two days, not wanting to pressure her too much. And every time I go there I see her with Kamal, she has had a crush on him for like forever so I was happy for her.
Right now I was in class battling sleep but losing, my head was tilting slightly to the left and my eyes closing then I felt someone's hand guide me upright.
"Oh sorry"I apologize not looking at the person.
"It's alright, princess" the only person who calls me that is Ren and I have barely spoken to him since our car drive, this time it was not because I was scared but because I had no time anymore. "You know you can fall asleep, our teacher could care less" he says facing the board expression less.
I say nothing then look at the time, it's almost time for clubs and I don't know what club I would join since I quit fencing.
"What clubs are there?" I say after a few moments of silence.
"Too many"
"That's very helpful "I said sarcastically "if you won't help me I will find some one who would" I yawn then tap the nearest person but they give me a real answer.
The bell rings, sleep still in my eyes, I got up and fling my bag over my shoulder.
I don't think I could go to a club, maybe I would just go to the library for a short nap. I walk into the library seeing no one there I toss my bag on the floor and fall asleep.
...
"Jasmine!" I wake up startled. Pulling my hair out of my face to see who called me.
Ren ran up to me taking my hand in his, he was pale. What on earth happened when I was asleep?
"School ended 2 hours ago every one has been looking for you,fuck" he sighs "what's the point of asking what clubs are there if you are not going to a club, Jasmine"he helps me stand up brushing my hair from my face to the back of my ear.
"Sorry"I say sleepily. What's wrong with me I just slept for 2 hours and I am still sleepy?
I remove my hand from his and run out. My father's going to be pissed.
I was running but my vision got blurry and then the floor got closer, I look up and see the hallway extending then a voice shouts my name and I fall.
"Jasmine, are you okay?" I hear a voice ask taking up my head and putting it on his lap.
"I need to go h-" that's all I remember saying before everything goes black.
...
"Thank you for taking care of my daughter but you can leave now" I hear my father say as I opened my eyes and catch Ren's gaze.
"Jasmine!"he runs to my side, my father watching over us.
"How are you feeling now? You scared me so much,goddamnit" he runs his finger over my cheek and I stop breathing.
I smile,And the tension in his shoulder rolls off.
"Good" he kisses my fingers.
My cheeks redden but before I could say anything else my father speaks
"Once again thank you for your help, Ren. But you can leave now"my father's voice bounces of the walls.
Ren stands straight, nods at my father's direction before letting go of my hand and walking away.
...
Silence.
I wait for my father to say something as he walks in my direction, feet stumping.
"Jasmine, I have one question for you." He looks down into my eyes and I swallow."but before that's let's state your wrongs together shall we. First, you don't attend ballet, I hear you have no extracurricular in school, you missed study room, you skipped miss Evelyn's class today and last you came into my house in the arms of a boy..." He sighs "now my question is , is there something I am missing from the list?"
I shook my head looking away, he was disappointed in me and he had the right to be but for some reason all I could think about was how he said I walked in in the arms of a boy, does he mean that Ren carried me?
"The doctor came to check up on you and said it's fatigue, so you would not attend school for a week, just a week. Do I make my self clear"he said sternly"and your mother and I are leaving tomorrow "
Perfect timing, I still need to go to school for Olivia's notes so at least now I could do it with less fear.
He shuts the door.
And I see a notification on my phone, an invite from Ren.
Ren: let's go to the meteor shower next tomorrow.kay?
Me: I can't say no to an old man.
Ren: that old man is still standing at your front porch
Me: don't let me dad see you, just go.
Me:and thank you I heard what you did for me.
Ren:I will only accept in person.
Me:wait right there.
Ren: wasn't planning to go anywhere else, princess.
I was still in my uniform so I changed to a tank top and sweats, putting my hair up I walk down the stairs quietly.
"Ren?"i whisper
"Princess" he stood there in the dark and for a second i thought I would faint again.
He looked gorgeous, I have gotten better at admitting it.
He smiled and jog towards me dark hair flopping up and down as he ran.
"Thank you"I say hugging him as soon as he reaches me.
I got rigid for a moment before relaxing and hugging me back.
"Anything for you, princess. You are going to relax for the next few days right?"
I say nothing, knowing that I can't promise that he wouldn't see me in school.
"Jasmine, c'mon what's so important?"
"I need to take notes for Olivia" I said looking down at his feet. He tilts my head up and I returned my gaze to his handsome features.
"I can do that, don't worry. I think I need to go now. Sleep" he says the last word like it's a command not an advice. I wave at him the he drives away smile at me.
I found out he was not the type to smile at ust anyone so I began to cherish those smiles.
