"she was here a few hours ago. Are you sure she is sick? She looks fine to me" Olivia said sipping a juice box. She is the only 18 year old I know who still takes juice boxes.
"What? She was here" I ask
"And in uniform."
I sigh. So she has been going to school even after we spoke yesterday, she is so stubborn.
"Let me see your notes" I demand taking the notes from her hand and skimming through Jasmine's beautiful but rushed hand writing. "Are you kidding me?!"I say under my breath before checking the time.
Today was the day of the meteor shower so at least I can talk to her about the stunt she pulled.
I have accepted that I care about Jasmine way more than I am meant too but I have not come to terms with why.
Yes she was gorgeous, ethereal almost ghostly infact but I knew that was not the only reason.
"Sorry I can't take you through class today, I will come tomorrow instead of Kamal as repayment, Kay?"i said practically out the door.
...
She ran up to me, hair flopping up and down, drew flowing in the wind and an adorable smile on her face.
"I hope I dressed appropriately" she was the type to care about what she wore but honestly I think she would look good in anything.
"Mhm, you did. Let me take you to the best spot to see the meteors"I grabbed her hand and we walked together.
"I have never witnessed one before."she said dreamily.
"This is my third"I state "are you sure your parents are coll with this and you going to school"she stopped walking.
She didn't know I knew that she still went to school, even though she needs rest.
I turn to face her"your health is a priority princess, and for some reason it's my priority as well.please take care of yourself" I step close to her caressing her cheek as she nods.
"Okay let's go"
We lay on the grad and talk for for some minutes before the meteor shower began.
"Look!"she points at the first star excitedly .
I smile and my gaze returns to her. She is still starring at the meteors buno Mayer how much I try I could not look away from her.
She turns my way and smiles. She locks my chin beneath her fingers and turns me back to face the meteors.
I could see her shifting uncomfortably on the grass and I turn to face her.
"Put your head on my arm"she complies placing her head on my extended arm except her head was so close all I could perseave was her expensive yet soft feminine scent.
"You know you are not as mean as I thought you were"she states looking up at the sky.
"You thought I was mean?"I ask in a surprised tone though I am not surprised. People say I come of a bit mean.
"Extremely, but you aren't that bad" she chuckles, unconsciously shifting here entire body closer to me
I smile and say nothing I look up at the meteors finally giving it my attention only for her to still it again by looking my way.
I look down to face her eyes, those beautiful glowing hazel pearls, and we stayed like that.
Staring at each other, both wanting to do something that we may regret, the whole world stopped. I could swear that the meteors slowed down at that moment.
"Ren"she spoke softly barely opening her mouth.
"Yes, princess"
She kisses me.
She kisses me and it's like, somehow, the silence explodes around us and a world of beautiful colors appear before my closed eyes.
Every thought in my brain is stripped out and replaced with her.
Her.
Her.
Her lips press into mine, my hands pulling her closer and the taste of her mouth, the heat of her breath.
She pulls away then smiles, her smile warms my heart the way the sun never could, I draw my thumb across her cheek.
The meteor shower was over, a droplet of rain fell, then another, then another till we were drenched.
"Let's go somewhere dry princess."I take her hand and lift her from the ground.
We walk slowly, savoring each moment, each step before she reaches her car.
My jacket was draped over her and her hair clung to her face framing it.
"Don't come to school tomorrow, I mean it" I shut the car door and she drives off.
I start walking to my car.
...
Olivia:are u still coming to my place tomorrow.
Me: yeah
