chapter 4 :the relics of an ancestor/growing up:

(Third person POV)

: after about 30 minutes of them hugging and raphtalia calming down from nearly losing her first friend the two of them begin to look around the old Raven clan settlement the young girl never even hearing about the so-called Raven clan being born way after it's time as James is just in wonder about the supposed history of his clan as now re-entering the log house through the hole James made when he was tossed by the two-headed dog creature a more noticed that instead of destroyed besides the whole he made the building looks relatively intact besides wear and tear and what looks to be scorch marks clearly indicating that this place was burned for some reason as the two of them explore the building the young Demi human more so interested about the weird things around and in the building such as weird middle prongs she has never seen before James is more so interested in the main room as he opens the door and is surprised to see that it is somewhat still intact and looks to be freshly cleaned he's confused until he hears up strange sound as he looks to his right and sees a bird more accurately a crow he's confused until he hears the same voice in his head one that he hasn't named yet again say:

;well isn't that interesting it's one of Odin's Ravens;

'okay you are not going to keep talking and not answering my questions who are you'

; wait you can hear me oh my God you can hear me;

'Mr Wolf are you okay you're talking to yourself'

'I'm fine just well talking to myself about what just happened don't worry'

; it's better if you think and not talk because then people are going to think you're crazy;

*Hahaha very funny now what do you mean that's Odin's Raven I know I'm some Viking apparently but that Odin shouldn't exist in this world Vikings shouldn't exist in this world yet why do I find them here*

; how about you ask the raven since it is your ancestors at least in this world;

: annoyed James just covers his face with his hand dragging it down clearly signify he's agitated as he holds out his arm not really knowing what to do as the crow caw's before flying around the small room eventually landing on the boys arm as he gets a heads up from his system indicating that he has gained a new Ally in the form of Hugin which surprises him into finding out that not only is Odin actually real in this world but he now has one of his crows as for split second he feels his right eye almost pulse in his skull forcing him to hold his head in pain as it suddenly switches to the Ravens point of view which initially freaks out James but realizes for some reason he can't move his body anymore as he watches The Raven fly out of the room and out of the long house flying towards a cave that is hidden behind a waterfall near the village and sees that there is a secret cave before he is suddenly transported back into his body and immediately throws up:

; that didn't look pleasant;

'no shit'

'Mr Wolf are you okay why are you puking are you sick'

'no don't worry just had a very nauseating out of body experience but besides that follow me I think I just found out something that we are going to be interested in'

: the two of them leave the long house but not before James takes two torches and by two he means a really long one breaks it into two sticks wraps a bit of his destroyed shirt around it before going into the cave after passing through the waterfall getting rid of most of the blood still on them as after lighting it with the help of his dagger which surprisingly gained a Level up similar to how he would as the skull of the Crow glows for a moment before he feels a wave of almost knowledge go over him as he realizes he had somehow become more proficient with the dagger it's after exploring the cave a bit becomes across a small open chamber with a bit of the sun coming through and a small running River and what appears to be what is left of a camp and a skeleton next to a unopened chest as it appears to be reaching for it with a key carefully moving it out of the way trying not to puke again James takes the key from him and opens the chest to find what appears to be some armor and two very Rusty axes:
