Today Aria had a day off. She had skipped breakfast to sleep in instead.
When she woke up her whole body were filled with nervousness, they were deciding her work today.
-"Morning Aria!" Newt said as he walked up to his hut.
She smiled.
-"Morning Newt."
-"Today we're deciding your work, are you excited?"
She shrugged, -"As long as I'm not a sliver it's alright."
He laughed, -"I don't think you will be, but I think it's the best for us all of you don't."
She raised an eyebrow.
-"You bloody threw up 4 times... forgot that?"
-"Yeah yeah."
Every time they started talking about Winston or the slicers her mind almost went blank. When Newt had left she had to hold her head to not faint, it hurt so much.
And for everyday, her memories of the name went more and more blurrier, like someone was trying to make her forget him.
But she couldn't.
She knew that she had remembered the name for a reason, it wasn't a coincidence.
-"Oh and Aria, Jeff wants to see you!" Newt shouted and she froze, shit!
She had promised him to check her wrist yesterday, but she completely forgot.
She ran across the glade over to the med hut, trying to not slip on the damp grass.
-"Jeff?" She said and knocked on the door, her breathing heavy.
Suddenly the door flung open.
She stumbled in and almost tripped on a chair.
-"I'm here.. now."
He sighed, -"Why didn't you come yesterday?"
-"Things came in the way."
He smirked, -"Surely."
-"What why?"
-"Rumor says you and Gally have something going on?" She shook her head.
-"Rumors wrong."
He raised an eyebrow, -"Really?"
-"Yea.." she said looking down on the floor, forgetting her hair was in a ponytail.
-"Aria I can see your red ears, I know your cheeks are red as well."
-"No they aren't!" She argued and looked up at him, exposing herself.
-"Whatever, let me see the wrist."
She put out her hand and sat down.
-"Does this hurt?"
She held in a hiss when he touched her arm, it really did.
-"No." she groaned
-"Aria."
-"It does." She admitted guilty.
-"And why's that? I thought you weren't going to use this hand so much."
-"Ehh I slipped when I worked."
He cleared his throat, signaling he knew.
-"Okay okay, I punched Henry."
-"Yeah I saw, most people did to be fair."
-"But he deserved it!"
-"He surely did." He smiled, -"I'm happy you tried to show him a lesson, but he won't go easier on you after that."
-"I know.. I just can't control my anger sometimes."
-"Anger issues?"
-"Probably." She laughed, -"Well... aren't you going to decide my work?"
He shook his head, -"Clint's there."
-"Oh well. I guess you have other patients too."
He nodded, -"But you're the one that come by most often, followed with Henry."
-"What a coincidence!"
-"I know right." He said as he followed her to the door, -"I'm wishing you the best job!"
She smiled, -"Thanks Jeff."
The wooden log that she had sat on for over 40 minutes were getting really uncomfortable.
She stood up and started stretching out her legs to avoid getting any pain tomorrow.
-"Hey Aria! Whatcha doing?"
It was Ben, he had actually been really kind to her the last week so she smiled as he walked over.
-"Waiting."
He frowned his eyebrows.
-"Fooorr?"
-"They're deciding my job."
She rolled her eyes when she said the words out loud, it sounded kind of stupid.
-"But they were going to do it like 30 minutes ago!"
She nodded, -"I know."
-"That's it." He said after ten more minutes, -"I'm going in."
-"That's what he said."
She smirked at his delayed reaction, -"Don't you ever say that again."
She shrugged, -"I can't promise anything."
After another ten minutes Ben came finally out followed by the other keepers.
-"Aria! Guess what your job is?"
She brushed off the dirt from her pants, -"I don't know, tell me!"
He pretended to role a drum to make it more special, but before he could tell her Newt did.
-"You're with Gally!"
She faked a smile, -"That's.. amazing?"
Ben nodded.
-"If you hadn't improved after lunch you would've became a slopper probably."
But she didn't listen to his words, she were complete zoned out.
Maybe it was better being a slopper than being with those annoying ass boys 24/7.
Or maybe they would've cat called her anyways.
She slowly turned around when she saw that Gally was making his way over to them.
-"Well... see you later Ben. And Newt!" She filled in as she walked off before they could ask any questions.
Whoever had made her a builder were in her death note today.
