Olympia groggily opened her eyes as the morning sunlight streamed through her window. She sat up and stretched, letting out a yawn as she slowly woke up. She glanced at the clock on her bedside table - 7:30am. Time for school.
With a resigned sigh, she climbed out of bed and shuffled towards her dresser to get dressed for the day.
After getting dressed into her school uniform, Olympia checked her reflection in the mirror.
She ran a brush through her hair, brushing out any tangles and straightening the flyaway strands. Once satisfied with her appearance, she grabbed her backpack and headed out of her room, making her way downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast.
In the kitchen, Olympia found her mother already preparing breakfast.
"Morning, honey," her mother greeted her with a smile. "Sleep well?"
"Not really," Olympia replied, stifling a yawn as she took a seat at the breakfast table.
Her mother placed a plate of toast and eggs in front of her while she poured a cup of coffee for herself, taking a seat across from Olympia.
"What's wrong?" her mother asked, noticing the bags under her eyes.
Olympia shrugged. "Just didn't sleep well. Kept tossing and turning all night."
Her mother gave her a sympathetic look. "You're probably just stressed about school. Exams coming up soon?"
"Yeah," Olympia sighed. "I have exams coming up soon, and I've got to beat Ares."
She took a bite of her toast, her mind already racing with thoughts of all the studying she had to do. Her mother nodded understandingly. "Well, just remember to pace yourself. Don't try to cram everything at the last minute. You're smart and capable, you'll do fine."
Olympia nodded, though her mind was still preoccupied with the thought of beating Ares in the exams. He was the top student in their class, and she had always struggled to keep up with him.
"Ugh, and it doesn't help that he's such a jerk about it," Olympia grumbled. "He doesn't even care about the exams, he just keeps rubbing it in my face and acting like it's no big deal. It's so infuriating, I could strangle him!"
Olympia clenched her fists in frustration, thinking about how annoying Ares was.
"He's just so smug and cocky," she continued. "He struts around like he's the king of the school, acting like everyone should worship the ground he walks on. It drives me insane!"
Her mother listened sympathetically as Olympia vented her frustrations.
"And it's not just his attitude, he's also annoyingly smart," Olympia added. "I've never seen him study or worry about exams, but he always manages to get the highest grades in the class. It's so unfair!"
Olympia shook her head, a frustrated sigh escaping her lips.
"And the worst part is, I'm always second to him. No matter how hard I study, no matter how much effort I put in, he's always one step ahead. It's so tiring, always being in his shadow."
Her annoyance turning to disdain, Olympia continued.
"And don't even get me started on the girls he hangs out with. Those fake, airheaded blonde bimbos that seem to follow him around like they're glued to his side. It's like they're completely hypnotized by him or something."
After finishing her breakfast, Olympia stood from the table and slung her backpack over her shoulder.
"Anyway, I have to get to school," she told her mother. "Love you!"
