‧₊˚* ੈ✩‧₊˚❝Are you mad? A ball for a suitor?❞It was then Ciel's vexation was unable to be confined, the Earl gawked at you stunned at your boldness for such a request.
"What is the problem? I am eighteen, I need a suitor soon I might as well do so while I am here."
"In the manor, your ex-fiancee once called home?! You sleep in his very room and you think of a other? You have the audacity to request such from me?" Ciel approached you closer, towering over you as you eyed his furious gaze.
Although you didn't backed down instead you were a curiosity to why he held such a reaction, "Why are you upset? Was it not you who mentioned letting go of the dead?...you are to be wed to Elizabeth, your brother would not want me to age away dwelling on his death."
"You speak as if you are confident you know what he wanted."
"I have waited long enough Ciel. I am to find my suitor tomorrow evening whether it pleases you or not. This is no disrespect to Sirius however he is not here to be my suitor. No is he?"
Ciel fell silent to your question, it wasn't that you had caught him tongue-tie as you thought but it was rather the truth to your question he could easily answer.
Upon not hearing a response from Ciel merely just a sharp gaze from the young adult, you nodded with a small smile. "So be it, Tomorrow a dance will be held tomorrow evening...then perhaps I wouldn't be so much in your hair afterward! Instead, I will be accompanying my fiancee." adjusting his bowtie with a smile, you turned on your heels then raised your hand up to Pluto.
"Come, Pluto, you can accompany me while me and Celine fix this dreadful garden!"
Earning a happy lick from the demon hound who dragged his tongue from your cheek to your hair causing a few strains to sit up, shock plastered on your features before you laugh walking away with Pluto happily following you and Celine.
"If I can't get a puppy as huge as Pluto, I don't want it!"
"Sebastian..."
Ciel called after his butler who averted his gaze from you to his master who watched you walk away with grimace.
"Whoever tries to win her hand in marriage...will it be wrong for me to ship that poor bastard away without her knowledge?"

"My lady, do you truly wish for a suitor? Or perhaps were you tempting the Earl?"
Celine questioned, after the two of you spent the day preparing and replanting beautiful flowers thankfully with your maid being inhuman, it didn't take long at all. Including the newly built fountain, she was capable of doing, of course, not in the sight of the others.
"Can it not be both?" You queried feeling Celine gently brush your newly washed hair, gazing at the mirror in front of you. "You heard Elizabeth...she hopes to get married by the end of this year...three months away..."
Inhaling gently at the thought of a wedding you once played pretend with Sirius all the years prior being unable to be fulfilled. "I don't want to be left behind...Ciel was right about one thing I can't dwell on a ghost who doesn't even think of me."
Heart became heavy at the words that spilled past your lips, you forced a smile then watched Celine's reflection. "The day of our contract...what was the pact we made?"
" I must protect and never betray you, to obey your orders no matter what, and never to lie to you... always smiling...never may I frown no matter how displeased I am."
A gentle hum vibrates from your throat, pleased by the contract that was made the day you felt as if you lost everything that fateful night.
"Do you know why I ordered you to always smile?"
"Why my lady?"
Silence filled the room for a moment, you inhaled gently and averted your gaze swiftly from Celine reflection to the candle that burned on the vanity. "Sirius always smiled at me...rather he was deathly sick...upset...crying even... I will never forget the words he would tell me whenever I was upset."
"Your smile is enough to heal any misery, disease, and sadness I will ever face..."
Reciting the words that had forever embedded themselves into your brain,
"He told me that the day my parents passed. Although it was to cheer me up, I thought at the moment was rather foolish...a smile that powerful? Isn't it rather corny?"
Releasing a bashful laugh from your lips, you cleared your throat at the cute memory. "He was always a corny boy...cute...shy...gentle." feeling Celine braid your hair once finished brushing it.
You turned around to face your maid who gazed down at you with a gentle gaze, your smile faded as your (e/c) hues bore into her icy ones.
"Ciel Phantomhive is not the same as him. He has the last name nothing more...if I wish to find a suitor, I want someone who is worthy of my love...he is not to have any interference."
Straightening your posture, the angelic marking that rested on the back of the nape of your neck revealed within the mirror's reflection.
"Celine, I ordered you to make sure no matter what I will find my rightful suitor within three months. Before my brother's coronation."
The similar angelic symbol embedded on Celine's right breast, above her heart glowed faintly at the command.
The maid placing her hand over her heart, bowing towards you with her head dipped.
"Yes, My lady."
