‧₊˚* ੈ✩‧₊˚❝Ciel Phantomhive, as I live and breathe...when the servants told me you had arrived I had to see it for myself.❞Prince Liam's vocals entered the den where Ciel and Sebastian awaited for the Queen, Ciel shifted his hues to meet your brother's gaze the tall man wielding a warm smile across his lips.
"Prince Liam, a pleasure to meet you...I'm not here for too long just a small meeting with the Queen."
Upon hearing the words from Ciel's lips; Liam's smile flattered ever so slightly he stood a few feet from the younger Earl who was just an inch off from his height. "My grandmother? She is busy at the moment, may I ask what for?"
"I believe it is business I rather speak to her about-..."
"It must be about (Y/n)." Liam cut Ciel off, the young earl merely holding a stoic expression once a response didn't come from Ciel's lips a light exhale escaped Liam's.
"Of course." nodding gently; the Prince prepared himself to hear the worst as he smiled. "Do tell me how is my little sister? I'm assuming she is causing trouble and that is why you are here?"
Causing trouble is merely the least of what Ciel would describe how your stay is so far, you barely made it a week in and you have already made the Earl want to run his head through the walls.
But of course, if he wants to get what he wants...
He must make it as if you haven't caused too much trouble.
"She has been a decent guest at the manor, but I am not here to speak about her attitude." Ciel kept his eyes on Liam who raised an eyebrow, unsure what the Earl wished to gain for this meeting.
"The queen gave her blessing to your sister to find a suitor. She displayed a betroth ball underneath my nose and now she is to be wed...I find this kind of tactic a bit unlawful, considering she is the princess shouldn't it be the Queen to choose her suitor? Not the princess?"
Liam fell silent at Ciel's words; the Prince's expression relaxed to one with a readable emotion yet he held a tight-lipped smile. "I see... Ciel, I must ask, why are you so interested in the lives of the royal family? Are you not anything more than the Queen's pup?"
Ciel's eyebrows raised slightly not expecting the abrupt sharp tone slipping from the Prince's lips; "I beg your pardon?" The Earl's calm tone switched to defensive,
"Excuse me if it came off a bit rude but whoever the Princess wishes to betroth herself to that is her business, not yours." Liam looked over his shoulder towards the awaiting guards who noticed the prince's silent signal and then made their way towards Ciel.
"It is my business if she is doing it in my manor-...I wish to talk to the Queen!"
Ciel's voice raised upon seeing the guards approach him and Sebastian; Liam keeping his grey irises fixated on the Earl, his smile fading. "The Queen does not need anything so...unimportant to interrupt her daily duties. I'm sure you'll handle it. Walk the young Earl out, thank you." At the Prince's orders, Ciel felt himself being guided from the den and back towards the doors.
"There is no need to tell grandmother about anything of this sort, Earl Phantomhive! Be sure to let my little one know how much we truly miss her!"
Liam's voice shifted to more of his gentle cheerful once more; as the Prince silently watched the Earl and his butler take their leave. His smile twitched across his lips, "...That was a rather close call...I didn't expect him to show up after sending the letters...can't have him stick his nose where it doesn't belong."

"Prince Liam, he was acting rather strange."
Upon back at the Manor after his defeat, Ciel couldn't shake off the odd feeling Liam was hiding something considering how adamant he was to stir Ciel's attention away from speaking to the Queen.
Not to mention how quick the Prince was to escort Ciel out of the palace, "Sebastian the letter of the blessing from the Queen and Prince...do you know if (Y/n) still have it?"
"I could search her quarters to see, young master may I ask why you need the letter?"
Ciel sat at his desk with his knuckles resting against his cheekbones; his eyes fixated on the blank paper laid across his desk. "What if...the Queen is unaware of the princess seeking a suitor?"
The question made Sebastian's eyebrows perked in a mixture of curiosity and amusement at such a chance, "Are you saying the Princess made up the blessing given to her by the Prince and Queen?"
"Or perhaps, the Prince did give the Princess his blessing but falsely wrote the Queen's."
Sitting up within this chair; leaning forward to the desk Ciel averted his sapphire hues to meet Sebastian's. "And if the Queen never gave her blessing that means the Princess was never given the power to find her suitor."
"That only means her betroth was never true to begin with? But why would the Prince give the Princess a false blessing from the Queen?"
"That's the question I need answer to..." Ciel tapped his fingers against the desk; the Earl was secretly pleased with the chance your betroth wouldn't be valid which means you wouldn't be wed to Prince Soma...
But now it begs the question if it is true, why would the Prince do such and what would Ciel do now with the new information in his grasp.
It wouldn't change the way she dislikes me obviously...if anything it may make her hate me...unless...
"Sebastian. I want you to get any intel you can on the Prince and this possible false blessing...as you do that, I will do my personal mission."
Many possibilities began to swirl around Sebastian's brain, the demonic butler couldn't help but find this situation becoming more and more interesting by the moment. "What will that be, young master?"
"Win the Princess' heart."
