"Look closer! Is it him?", I screamed into the phone.
"Ma'am I... can't see that well, but the man definitely is Sikander.", a low voice answered back.
Who are you frolicking in the woods with stupid Sikander?
Keep on them. For every move they make I want clear evidence!", I ended the call and sighed.
I needed to look good for my next meeting, so I used the phone camera to check for maximum levels of perfection. My skin was clear, not a blemish in sight. There were no wrinkles on my face that would give away my age. I covered the slight bags under my eyes with the perfect amount of concealer. My lips were puckered and round, the shiny red lip gloss helped reflect light off of them. I looked luscious and young. My sleek black hair wept back just behind the ears. I had them cut shoulder length, long hair was getting so boring.
Perfection, my parents should have named me Aphrodite.
I needed to call Ali and make sure he had a green light for my other plan. Of course, he would do anything I requested. After all, we were friends. And good friends always check up on one another.
"Hey, Areeja baby!" Ali moaned as soon as he picked up my call.
Ugh, I bet he was extra loud just to let everyone around him know who he was talking to. Pathetic!
"Hey", I rolled my eyes, "my baby Lolli".
"Baby, I missed you! Did you miss me? Say yes, please," Ali whispered.
"A-Yeah, I did Lolli", I faked a kiss into the phone.
"Oh baby, I loved it when you call me Lolli. I know it's not my name, but I love how you mixed Ali with Lolli, you know 'cause of the lolli- in lollipop," he giggled away.
The way Ali sounded, I was sure he was high or drunk. That was not good, not good at all. If this idiot doesn't pull his shit together, I'm screwed. It was already so hard getting him into the list at The Club.
Com'on Areeja think! Think, you skinny bitch!
Ah-ha! Got it.
"Listen Lolli baby, you know how much I love you, right? So, baby, I want you to be happy. I made this entire plan up for you. You know that, right?", I cooed into the phone.
"Aww, baby I know. That's why I love ya' too na", he sniffed back.
"Awww, I love my baby too", I felt like an idiot. I don't get why all these men want to be mothered. It was utterly disgusting. I wanted to throw up, but the aim was Ali and getting Ali back to his senses.
"Yes", I purred, "so my sweet Lolli will not take another sniff of the snow". I balanced the phone on my other ear and began checking my nails. Had to make sure I did not chip them because of yesterday's encounter. "Sweet Lolli is going to wait until he gets his job done and comes home to the good stuff, right?", I nodded.
"Don't worry darling," Ali's voice was deep and full of weight. "I'm no fool. You don't need to keep checking up on me like the nanny", he hissed.
That change of tone would have fooled any little girly fresh from the womb. But I wasn't like the other little girls. With what I've seen, I could smell bullshit from kilometres away.
"Oh darling, you know how I think you're a genius", I tried to impersonate Audrey Hepburn. I wanted to echo all the sauvé she carried in her voice. He would be under my spell in seconds. "I just called to make sure you were ready to party tonight's victory", I smacked my lips to make a point.
