"Nothing quite climbing a full set of stairs at 7:10am on a Monday morning," I chirp. "Don't you agree?"

None of the first grade Slytherins reply as they all crouch over, huffing air into their lungs. "You think that climbing a flight of stairs first thing in the morning is a good idea?" Daphne asks, huffing air and slightly red in the face.

"I agree with Daphne," Draco agrees. "Climbing that flight of stairs is NOT fun. I honestly hope we don't have to climb more of them."

"Don't you guys know that we have double transfiguration on Wednesday morning?" Theo inquires, directing his question towards the huffing Slytherins.

"Yeah, so?" Blaise questions.

"Transfiguration is on the 7th floor," I answer, earning a round of groans from the group.

"Bloody hell, that is going to kill me," Draco dramatically replies.

"Don't be so dramatic," I reply. "You will get used to it eventually. What with you going up and down staircases everyday."

More groans can be heard from the group. A range of footsteps from heavy to light start to make their way towards our little group. Immediately, all of the Slytherins straighten themselves up and place their pureblood masks back on. Slightly rolling my eyes, I turn to see a group of first year Hufflepuff students make their way towards the classroom. Once they arrive they line up behind our group and chat amongst themselves.

At exactly 7:30am the door to the classroom swung open. Our group makes our way to the front and takes the tables towards the left side of the room leaving the Hufflepuffs to get the remaining tables.

Five minutes later a ghost floats into the classroom. "Hello, my name is Professor Binns. I am your History of Magic Teacher. I will start with roll and we can start to brainstorm ideas for the term," Professor Binns introduces in a voice slow enough to make anyone fall asleep. "We will be going over the topics of the Gargoyle Strike of 1911, Soap Blizzard of 1378, Werewolf Code of Conduct, Emeric the evil, Uric the Oddball, Elfric the Eager and the Self-Stirring Cauldron. Is there anything else that this class would like to be taught in addition to this topic?"

A Hufflepuff at the back of the class timidly raises his hand into the air. "Yes, the student at the back."

"Can we please learn about the first Wizarding War," he requests.

"If that is the only request then sure," Binns replies. "Anyone else." No one raises their hand as they are all interested in the topic that is going to be in class for the next few weeks.

"Ok, so we will do the First Wizarding War for the next few lessons," Binns declares. "Then we will move on to the Gargoyle strike of 1911. Now please get some parchment and ink out as we discuss the First Wizarding War." Everyone around the room starts to gather the required piece of parchment.

Waving my hand, I conjure a piece of parchment and a bottle of ink along with a comfortable to write quill. Light gasps sound around the room as the Slytherins around me start to realise how powerful I really am.

Professor Binns starts to write on the chalkboard in cursive writing.

The First Wizarding War was a major wizarding conflict beginning in 1970 and ending in 1981. This time period is known as the most powerful dark wizard of the time, Lord Voldemort. During this time, Voldemort had the support of a group of wizards called death eaters. His reign was opposed by many, resulting in families being torn apart and widespread death and panic. This was contained by the ministry of magic, and an unknown group called the Order of the Phoenix. To this day, it is unknown to the origins of the Order of the Phoenix.

The First World War ended on all Hallows Eve in 1981. The reason behind the fall of the War is due to a baby, this baby being Harriet Potter. Not much is known of the night as the privacy surrounding Miss Harriet Potter must be intact for as long as possible, but it is said that if the Dark Wizard is to rise again, she is going to be the one to kill him again.

Why are we going over the first wizarding war, when there is a student inside the class that has a first hand experience. Beside me Theo lifts his hand into the air.

"Yes, Mr," Binns trails off.

"Nott sir," Theo replies. "I want to know, why did you add the bit at the end about Harriet defeating the Dark Wizard again if he is dead?"

Looking back over his notes, Binns has a puzzled look displayed on his face. "I didn't add that to my notes. I do not know how that got there." He waves his hand at the board, erasing everything after the first sentence of the second paragraph.

"I do not find it funny that someone has tampered with my notes," Binns announces to the class. "If anyone has any information about the person or persons, please contact me after class."

As he finishes his notes the bell rings for the next class. Gathering all of my things, I start to make my way towards the dungeons for our next class. We arrive at the classroom before the other house does and enter into the room, taking our seats on tables around the room, leaving the worst ones to the other house. Soon, other students start to come into the room and take the remaining seats. A few minutes later, Sevy makes his dramatic entrance by slamming the door open and gliding inside.

"Welcome to potions," Sevy greets. "Potions is a volatile subject. Get one thing wrong in a potion and it may just be the last thing you do. Now, I can teach you how to cure poisons, place a person into one of the deepest sleeps one can imagine, save your life many times over and brew a way to pride yourself. This can be accomplished if one were to pay attention! Mr Weasley, what would you get if you were to brew Bitter Root, Snowdrop, Abraxan Hair and Re'em Blood."

"I don't know sir," A boy, I am assuming, Mr Weasley replies. A girl with bushy hair from the Gryffindors raises her hand.

"I'll try again," Sevy projects. "What would I get if I brewed Bursting Mushrooms, Salamander Blood and Wartcap powder?"

"I don't know sir," Weasley responds. Again the same girl places her hand high into the air.

"One more try Weasley," Sevy taunts. "What colour, Mr Weasley, would I get if I brewed a tonic for trace detection?"

"I don't know sir," Weasley gruffly says. "Maybe try Hermione, she looks like she knows the answer."

"The potion with those ingredients brews," Hermione quickly rattles.

"20 points from Gryffindor!" Sevy bellows, "for talking out of turn and another 20 off for not bothering to open a book before coming here. Potter, would you like to answer all three of those questions."

"Sure," I respond, smirking slightly. "The ingredients you mention in the first question combine to create a beginner level potion called the Exstimulo potion. This potion boosts the spell-casting power of the drinker for four spell casts. The second potion is a fire protection potion, this allows for people to be protected from certain fires. The answer to the last question is a pink colour and is brewed for seven hours."

"30 points to Slytherin," Sevy declares. "Well why aren't you all writing down the answers."
