You and Laughing Jack had been dating for about a year and you were so excited for what he was going to do to celebrate your upcoming birthday. You had been talking about it with your girlfriends Jane the Killer, Clockwork and LJ's partner in crime Laughing Jill.

"Whatever it is I know it will be great, he's head over heels for you (y/n),"Jane said as she took a sip of the tea she had made for us.

"Yeah,"Laughing Jill giggled. " You are all he talks about even we are at a kill he makes a point to mention you in some way shape or form."

"God I wish Toby would be like that with me," Clockwork sighed, and we all laughed knowing that it would never happen.

"Your right," you said. "I should just stop worrying and wait to see what happens." After that we talked about what everyone was up to as we sipped on the sweet concoction.

When your birthday finally came you were so excited. You couldn't wait until that night for the surprise that LJ had promised you. The whole day seemed to move at a snail's pace as anticipation for that night grew and grew until the waiting finally stopped and the moment had finally arrived.

All the way to the surprise LJ kept making you laugh, which was one thing you loved about him. Just spending time alone with him was a birthday present in its self. It was out in the forest in the exact spot where you two had first met. Hung so delicately in the trees were white christmas lights illuminating the usually dark space. Sitting beautifully in the center of the whole display was a table big enough for two with a white table cloth cascading over the sides and your favorite food on the plates that adorned the top of the table. The whole thing was just breathtakingly beautiful.

"LJ... this is, this is perfect. Thank you so much," You said before you went on your tiptoes to give him a kiss. A smile grew across his face and the slight blush that he had in his cheeks grew a shade darker.

"Your welcome darling," he said before giving you a kiss on your forehead. "Come one," he said as he took your hand in his," lets enjoy this spectacular occasion." The whole evening was amazing. You two laughed, ate and talked enjoying every minute you had with each other. Sadly though the night seemed to come to an end too soon as he brought you back to your door. "Hey what's the matter sweet cheeks?" LJ asked seeing the sudden sadness come across your face.

"I just had so much fun that I don't want this night to end just yet," I said honestly averting my eyes from his knowing they were brimming with tears.

"Well...it doesn't...," you heard him scratch the back of his head, as if contemplating what he was going to say, before continuing on. " It doesn't have to end quite yet," a scarlet blush quickly spreading across his face. At this point I was looking up into his dark eyes anchored by his pointed striped nose. " I mean... um..." he was struggling again to come up with words again making a sweet innocent smile to make its way on your face. " Well... um... oh just come here you goofball," he said with a smirk on his face before pulled you into a deep alluring kiss.
