Names and Pasts

Madison's pov:

As soon as I stepped in my first class I spotted Alexandre, and when he saw me too, he waved, calling me over to his group of friends. I waved my head no but he insisted so I walked over to him.

- What's up? - I said as he stood up and put his hands in my shoulders.

- Guys, this is my friend: Madds. Madds, these are my friends. - Alexandre said as the two waved - This blondy here is Alexander, we match names!! - the boy said, he was very excited.

- Wonderful!! Hi, Alexander. - I said with a smile.

- And this one is Griffin, we usually call him Hoffman because that's what his girl calls him - Alexandre introduced me to Griffin, or Hoffman, I don't know because Griffin Hoffman cut him off.

- She is not my girlfriend, bruh!

- Well, she acts like it.

- Wait, you're Tina's friend aren't you? - I interrupted their little fight with a silly question which I already knew the answer to, Valentina doesn't shut up about him.

- You know her? - Hoffman asked.

- Yeah, we're friends. I've seen you around.

- Oh, cool! She told me about her new friend group, Madds. So, Madison...? Aren't you like her cousin?

- Distant cousin. - I corrected him - But yes, I am.

- Okay, nice! That's enough. - Alexandre pushed me to the side leaving Hoffman and Alexander behind. - Are we still doing the project later, right?

- Yes, we are. And don't - he cut me off.

- Don't be late. - he completed my sentence mockingly - yeah, I know. I promise you. - He paused for a little - You know what, what is your last class?

- Biology. - I answered confused, I really didn't know what to expect from him.

- Okay, great. I'm gonna get you there so we can walk together to the library, what do you think?

- I think it's a great idea but, if you're late to get me, I'll leave you to do the project alone.

- You would never. - He replied in a joking tone.

- See you later, Alexandre. - I said as I walked to my seat, seeing Penelope Verlice already on her seat in front of me.

- Hii, Pips! - I greeted her, sitting down on my chair.

- Hii, Madds! - She said, turning around to face me.

Before I met Alexandre, Penelope was the only one who would call me "Madds" as I would call her "Pips" and that's our sweet nicknames for eachother. I met her last year when I was hanging out with Tina and some of her friends, which would turn out to be my friend group in highschool.

- Did you finish the project already? - I asked.

- Yeah, I did. But I was working with Connor, so it was hard!

- I can imagine!- I laughed as Ms. Rebecca started talking to the class and we both payed attention to it.

*Time skip*

5 minutes until biology class ended and I would, almost, be free to go.

We still had half of the project to finish but at least we already knew what we were doing, we just needed to finish some research and put it into the slides. But it was kind of a big project so it would probably take some hours to finish, I guess?

After giving the teacher my worksheet I went back to my chair, where Valentina Benavente sat right by my side.

- Tina, I forgot to tell you! - I called the girl.
