  - Oh, look who decided to show up!! I was almost convinced you would miss school. - Valentina jumped in front of me.

  - For the first time since 2010. - Brina backed my cousin up.

  - I don't miss school, Valentina. - I answer them both looking very tired.

  - Girly pop clearly didn't have a good sleeping night. - Penelope appeared out of nowhere.

  - What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be at Mrs. Franklin's class? - I ask her.

  - Yes, but he got the flu or something and so I got a free period with my besties. - Pips hugged Brina with one arm and Sophie (which I did not realize was there) with the other.

  - Where is Ava and Gia? - I asked the girls in front of me.

  - Darling, you are really out of yourself today. Didn't you check the group chat? They're only talking to Ms. Rebecca about the project and will soon come back.

  - Talking about that history project. - Brina prolonged her words, spreading her arms on top of the table we were sat at as her fingers touched mine.

  - Get off, weirdo! - I told her jokingly, throwing her hand away as we laughed.

  - How is stuff between you and Brazilian beauty, lil mad poo? - Sophie jumps into the topic.

  - You really need to get yourself together, Soph, that's way too much time with P and Brina.

  - Well, I would hang out with you too if you weren't so - she paused, gave me her best flirty face, - busy with the Project. - she finished and all the girls wiggled their eyebrows in consent.

  - No, No, No, No. - I said, pointing at each one of my friends. - You are acting like the project is a person, the project is a project!! A history project about old societies or something.

  - Did Madison Nora Ferrari just said "or something" about a school project?? Our baby is really growing up. - Tina said.

  - Or she was kidnapped and this is a replica the kidnappers made in the laboratory. - A voice came from behind me, my friends made a confused face but I recognized the voice, it was Ava, of course. And then I turned around.

  She was with someone else, not Gia though she was filling her water bottle at the water fountain, ohhh that was the confusing part. You know, Ava is not the socializing kind of person so the most confusing thing it would happen was for her to show up in a random Wednesday morning with a boy behind her, Alexander Parker, the matching-names-with-Miranda guy I met yesterday, and that was exactly what was happening now. Ava was anti-man if they weren't fictional and Alex seems pretty real to me.

  - They would give me up in 30 minutes. - I whisper quietly, remembering Alexandre and mine's joke from 2 days ago. I turned back to the table and didn't pay much attention to the coupl- oop, sorry, I mean boy and girl in front of me. 

  - Excuse me? - Brina asks.

  - Hm? Oh, nothing. It was just a joke.

  - Girly pop really didn't have a good sleeping night. - Pips spoke up again.

  - Girly pop really needs to head to Mrs. Margot's class. See you guys in lunch!! - I spoke in third person and then started to walk away.

  The last thing I heard was Gia, that was once observing the scene from the water fountain but came to the table we were sat, asking Alex if Brazil was on Mrs. Margot's geography class. I didn't stick long enough to hear what he would answer but I already knew it anyways. Yes, Brazil was on my geography class.
