I'm so sorry I haven't posted in what seems like forever. I've been on vacation for a week and haven't been able to write or read anything. It was fun while it lasted, but I'm glad to be back and ready to write for all you wonderful readers. And I'm sorry ahead of time for the short chapter, I'll make sure to post a longer one tomorrow for you all.

"Ariel, you received a letter in the mail. It looks important," May calls up to the girls' bedroom.
"Why would I get a letter? I don't know anyone from this world except you and your mother," Ariel's brow knits itself into a worried look.
"I don't know, maybe it's from the prince. He did tell you he couldn't wait to see you again," Goldilocks shrugs on a clean outfit and tennis shoes.
Ariel sighs and nods almost afraid to go see who the letter is from. Goldilocks sits on her bed and waits for Ariel while she chooses and dresses in a new outfit as well. They walk downstairs to the kitchen where May is at the stove cooking bacon and sausages for breakfast. Ariel takes a deep whiff of the delicious food and smiles.
"It smells so good in here," Ariel flares her nostrils a little more and May laughs, taking it as a compliment.
"Well that's a good thing, now isn't it, the letter is sitting on the island," May motions with a spatula to the wooden island in the middle of the kitchen.
Goldilocks scoops the white envelope into her hand and hands it to Ariel. Ariel studies the letter and flips it over in her hands. The white of the envelope was threaded with gleaming gold and the seal was like red tar stamped with the royal symbol. The letter was addressed to Ariel herself, not to May or Goldilocks. It was addressed from the village's castle, where Prince Adam lives.
Ariel tears into the pretty envelope and pulls the golden letter out. The letter's edges sparkle with gold fringe. The writing on the letter is swirly and beautiful with lots of curls on the ends of letters. The letter was innocent enough, but what it says scares Ariel more than anything, because all her fears and worries were summed up in a few measly lines of pretty handwriting.
Dear Ariel,
It was wonderful speaking to you yesterday. I would like to get to know you much better than a simple five-minute conversation would hold. If you would mind, I would like you to come visit my castle for the afternoon. Please, feel free to bring your friend, Goldilocks. I would like to get to know her as well.
Sincerely, Prince Adam
