Slipping too quickly

Amelia Pov

I woke up to the sound of my stomach growling, i whined at the feeling and got myself out of bed.

When I opened my eyes, everything felt different. The room seemed bigger, and my body felt smaller and lighter.

I rubbed my eyes and grabbed the blanket dragging it behind me to the door, i opened the door and looked into the empty hall.

Groaning I made my way downstairs holding onto the railing with my stomach rumbling.I reach the end of the steps,rub my stomach, and whine.

I'm hungry but i can't reach the cabinet that had cereal,if i can't reach the cereal how am i going to eat?

My eyes started to water at the thought of not being able to eat and a few tears slipped from my eyes. Why was i crying right now? I'm usually emotional over food but not this emotional.

"Amelia, what are you doing?"

"Cewal" I whined pointing to the cabinet that held the cinnamon french toast

I saw her eyes widen in shock before walking over to me. But she didn't look mad like at all she looked more concerned than anything.

"U-uh okay, how old are you melia?" She asked me slightly crouching down to meet my eye level.

I thought about it before holding up 3 fingers in her face.

"Do you think you could be a big girl for a while so we can talk?"

I shook my no, i'm at the most peace i've been at for years, care free and worry free.

"Okay that's fine i'll call akira to see if they can come over and help me with this." She mumbled to herself pulling her phone out of her pocket.

My head perked up at the mention of them coming over. "Lila come?"

"Yes delila is coming too"

I smiled at the thought of my new friend coming over. But i'm still hungry, i looked back at the cabinet and walked over to mia.

"Help" I told mia pulling on her shirt.

"That's not how you ask melia"She said holding the phone away from her ear making me frown, if she knows what i meant why not just help me.

"Help pease" I said again slightly quieter.

Mia walked over to me and i watched as she made my cereal, i took out the paci and set it next to my bowl and started eating.

"Yea she's uh eating right now i think she wants to see delila."

I quietly sat and ate my cereal, i really enjoyed this i felt more comfortable than before. After a while Mia hung up the phone and set it on the counter.

"Akira said they'll be over shortly."

"lila can play?" I asked looking at her with hope in my eyes.

"Delila can play after we talk about this, okay?" She said taking my bowl and putting it in the sink.

I grabbed my paci off the counter and popped it back into my mouth and grabbed my blanket i think mia was about to say something to me until we heard a voice call from upstairs.

"Mommy!" That voice sounds familiar, is that ,asher? She must of still been here, but she's also a little? And her mommy is my sister?

"I'll be right back melia if you hear a knock it might akira just call for me" She told me making me nod my head in response before she left to go upstairs.
