During dinner I prepared myself for two things. Preventing myself from giving Xavier. A stink eye and avoiding Oliver but I couldn't help but wonder, why did Vincent want to annihilate Oliver.he was one of them, he was cold blooded too. His heartbeat stopped beating years ago,he was arrogant and self centered like my uncle.what what did he have against me and him,I had only known the guy for a week,I've never met his jerk self before.
Like always I locked our door with just the swift of my hand, walking to the dinner room, not necessarily a cafeteria. Lunch was held at the cafeteria with typical rows of white tables and a lady behind the counter, who hardly smiles. But dinner, devil horns was considerate on this one. The breakfast and dinner lounge was cosy. Candles were lit during dinner, they had better (edible) food prepared for us each night.Since today was Friday, we were gonna feast on fancier food. Last week, Oliver's future wife Diana ordered Caviar and it was plated nicely on a plate. I mean who orders caviar for dinner? I hope she has snacks stacked in her room for midnight munchies, but then anyway, she's too prima donna for carbs and bars of chocolate.
The diner was already packed and people were seated with their friends or may I say their kinds. Tonight was different, Jude and the rest of our friends usually broke the high school stereotype sitting by inviting her boyfriend and his friends (Xavier), my palms sweat just by the mention of his voice. Our table would consist of Me and Jude, witches, Gwen a minx. Drake and Xavier, wolves, then Lesley a shape shifter. Sometimes Lisa, one of Gwen's classmates would join us. But now that Jude is M.I.A, Gwen is probably snogging some twart,Xavier and I sucked throats now we are ashamed to face each other of which resulted to drake and Lesley being MIA as well. But Lesley had his own reasons.
I go to the buffet table, yes a buffet. Like I said, dinner is fancier. Even the room itself, I don't know if should thank Richmond's interior designers for the professor's good flick of the wand because the room look exquisite, the suede couches at the corners for a little bit of privacy, the set tables with lit candles and the nice chandier hanging on the ceiling. Not forgetting the very artistic animatic paintings on the walls. Yes like Hogwarts our paintings moved. Well most of them except one with a women with red hair being executed. The other ones were cliché, fat lady sings, the ,monalisa and some from the industrial revolution and art nouveau.
I look around the room. Friday's were fun, especially when everyone is here,no one went home. Well of course some were upset about not seeing their parents, but soon got over it when it was announced after lunch that no particular dress code is compulsory tonight. So people went all out and showed their inner selves that hid behind those hideous pleated skirts and socks we wore. Because this is a very fancy school, we were allowed to have wine. Not too much though. The caterers were strict on that one. I look at Diana slowly sipping her glass of wine, looking like she walked out of a Julia Roberts movie, next to her was Oliver, her bethrowed. They chat away, Oliver nodding and smirking constantly. He looked his age for once. I wonder if he loves her, if dating was just a favor for them, if they had known each other long. I shake the thoughts away. I didn't wanna be caught thinking about a couple that is to be married soon.
I push past students that are standing and chatting to find myself a bite. The food, as always looked delicious. Unlike lunch were you were obligated to eat a sloppy Joe, a pizza and a salad. I dish a spoonful of pasta with the tomato sauce and gouda cheese, topping it with a leaf of corrianda. I'm opting out on the wine tonight. I'll have juice instead, my head is already oozy.
I was heading to the long couch at the corner when my phone buzzed in the back of my pockets, I hoped it was Jude,or Gwen at least, but then I remembered we didn't exchange numbers. I still hoped it was either one of them though, because Jude knew so much about me during the first night, how could she have not taken my numbers from my file.i sigh as I look at the caller ID, not knowing if I should be excited or not.
