The warning of an unauthorized border crossing reached the guards in the form of a screaming cry echoing through the hazy forest. One of their own was attacked. It took only seconds for the dozen or so warriors to arrive at the scene. But the picture offered was that of a horror film: Three of their colleagues were lying dead in the small clearing, their limbs scattered everywhere. They were literally torn to pieces. The general's growl could have brought mountains to collapse when he found a bloody trail west of the crime scene. The smell was unmistaken: werewolf.
The guards took up the pursuit, both on foot and from the air, and within minutes they had the monster surrounded. A snow-white she-wolf with silver strands and ice-blue eyes stood in their center, the hair at her neck bristling and her teeth blood-smeared. There was no doubt that she had torn the guards apart. Their blood was still stuck in her fur.
Without warning, the she-wolf attacked again, jumping directly on one of the warriors and biting him in the neck. The attack was so precise that there was no time to help: his head was torn from his torso with a hearty jerk. Torn out of their rigidity, several men threw themselves on the animal, who fought back iron-willed despite the superiority. However, before another death could occur, the general threw a net of silver chains over the she-wolf and two other guards managed to wrap a silver chain around the bloody snout under brutal violence. The stench of burnt flesh filled the air and the beast howled in pain. Finally tamed, the general chased an arrow with a high-dose of wolfsbane into the body of the she-wolf and after a few seconds the powerful animal collapsed unconscious.
The fur disappeared, the snout transformed and gradually the giant she-wolf turned into a petite, young woman with pale skin and dark hair. The chain had come loose due to the transformation, but the net now burned the flesh from her bones lying directly on the skin. Four men swiftly tied her in iron chains. The dead guards would receive a burial. But the fate of the beast was to be worse than death, the general decided, while he sled her delicate body tied in chains behind him.
