"Seriously ?" Hester scoffed in disbelief , shaking her head slowly as the realization of the severity of her actions slowly seeped into her mind. "Why, I almost forgot to ask." Dr. Colbar muttered, tilting his head as he stared intently at Hester. "What happened when you ran off? I'm assuming your emotions weren't as stable as I'd like to think?" Dr. Colbar questioned, resting his chin in his knuckles as he awaited Hester's answer.

"Well, it was intense, to put it lightly. I can't describe the feeling, but it felt like everything around me was.. Uneven. Like, like stretching, or something. I had this overwhelming sense that I was being watched. It was almost as if I couldn't stand on my own." Hester explained, having almost forgotten the events that had transpired so recently.

"Hold on, my dear. Where were you?" Dr. Colbar inquired, a quizzical expression written on his face as her forehead creased slightly. Hester raised a brow in slight confusion, a questioning frown on her lips as she looked up at Dr. Colbar. "A storage shed a few shops away from the restaurant. I was gripping onto a metal shelf and was about to lean back when Claudia broke in." Hester hummed, recalling the exact place she was standing.

She was drawn out of her thoughts as she settled her gaze onto Dr. Colbar's worried expression.

"My dear, you were about to get impaled by a rake. That shed is used for the proper and special keeping of the tools used to maintain the potted plants in the mall." He murmured quietly.

Hester's expression twisted into one of horror as the room began to trevor slightly. She took a deep breath, crossing her arms. "Oh," Hester choked out after a minute of hesitation, speaking nervously as she held herself back from getting too carried away with her emotions. "I... I see, I see. But, that's alright, right? I'm still, still alive right now, am- am I not?" She stated, a falter in her cocky tone.

Dr. Colbar rose from his seat, sauntering towards Hester, settling down in front of her with his legs crossed in an elegant manner. "My dear, my dear." He goaded quietly and playfully. "You are indeed, correct. You're still alive, and that's all that truly matters. All you need from the experience is the newfound knowledge that comes with it, and leave the rest behind." The room slowly began to stop shaking as Hester twirled her hair in thought.

"...Dr. Colbar, what would happen if I died here? Would I be gone forever?"
