It's officially my birthday season. I'm a Sagittarius. I don't typically plan anything big for my birthday. I normally take two days off just take a small mental reset and do some self care. The self care day consist of getting my hair and nails done, deep cleaning my house, and making some great food. Then the next day I go visit my parents grave and pay my respects toward them. It's always harder for me to be happy on my birthday because this the time of year Jessica and I lost them.

The team and everyone at swat HQ makes the days easier for me. Being around them makes the day a bit more special.

Anyways back to the task at hand. It's the annual holiday charity fundraiser and I want to snap someone's neck. Hicks and Jessica better be glad I like them because this is killing me on the inside. Everyone on the team is home chilling except Hondo and I. Deacon won the game of uno so he got to sit this event out. Lucky bastard.

Hicks has me here as his golden ticket. I go around giving out advice on how to make this city great. Los Angela is home to so many people and with my IQ I want to share anything I can to help it. Especially the fucking mayor. That man infuriates me to a level that only Street can reach. The decisions he makes for the city on benefits the rich higher class people. It ignores the needs of the lower class.

I'm also here just in case Mumford's team needs some extra assistant. At this point I'm praying something comes up. I'd rather be training the rookies right now. You know how much of my nerves you've got to shatter in order for me to want to train rookies.

Luckily God has answered my prayers because 30 minutes later we got a mission. Two girls were injured in a shooting at a night club. We don't know were these girls are. Hondo and I are riding with Mumford's .

"Alright team, the normally positions are going to change slightly since Hondo and Nyla are going us. Hondo and I will inspect the outside with Hicks, Jessica and the police commissioner. Rocker, Nyla and the rest of you will with go inspect the inside. We need get this figured out quickly before we have a panic spread throughout the city." Mumford said.

"Why are we letting princess here come with us? Shouldn't she be kissing ass with mayor?" One of his new recruits said.

"Maybe because this princess has more qualifications than all of metro swat. Maybe this princess is here to show you how to actually do your job. Or maybe just maybe its because I rank higher than you so it means ideally I'm more skilled in every aspect of this. If it came down to it I'd have a better chance at getting a promotion than you. I mean lets stat the facts. You're a rookies that came from a being a patrol officer, while you were a patrol officer you manage to get 17 write ups, 5 misconducts, and 3 mandatory transfers. I, on the other hand, have a perfectly clean record and about 12 different offers from government organizations all over the world. So enough chit chat lets get this job done so we came all go get some sleep."

We made it to the location of the shooting. Rocker, the team, and I made entry. We inspected the area and made mental notes of everything. The place was torn apart and bullet holes scattered the wall. Yea it's time to bring the team into this. No offense to Mumford and Rocker but their team will take forever to handle this.
   30 David will literally have this solved by tomorrow evening. Even though it kills me to interrupt everyone's time off, we've got help these girls.
  It took everyone about an hour to get here. Of course I had to call Annie and apologize for taking Deacon from his family. Street had to be the last one to show of course.
   I quickly changed into my gear then got ready to brief everyone.
  "Hey Nyles, how was the event? I saw the picture you sent the group chat. You looked absolutely gorgeous. You always do." Tan said.
  Y'all this man got me blushing like a little schoolgirl. Plus Victor is looking extra good with this skin tight shirt. Ughh I wanna snatch him up and lock him down.
   "Thanks Victor. I'm glad you like it. Had to make sure you had something gorgeous to look forward to. If someone hadn't already."
  "Trust me you're the only girl no excuse me woman I'll ever have my eyes on."
    "You're a charmer, Victor."
"I'll let you figure out how serious I am soon."
  I'm absolutely speechless. Too many thought were running through my head and none of them were holy. He's so lucky we gotta mission.
  Time skip to finding the girls.

  Okay to let me give you guys an update on this mission which low key was stupid. Deacon and Hondo managed to locate one of the girls. Bimbo #1 snitched on her friend Bimbo #2 they somehow stole 3 bricks of gold. Now this cartel knockoff dude wants it back so he kidnapped Bimbo #2 and Bimbo #1 has to help us save us. She low key tried to flirt with Deacon and I wasn't letting that happened to I dropped kick her for Annie. Luca and I had to stop Tan from punching the police commissioner for his unnecessary comments during this mission. Street kept bitching about how we ruined his plans with this chick he was sleeping with.
   We managed to save both girls and take down the knockoff cartel dudes. The girls are being shipped how to Mexico to their families. It was overall another successful case.  I quickly showered and was about to head out when the team stopped me.
  "Hey guys what's up?"
"Well we know your birthday is coming up and how you don't like making a big deal out of it. But we'd be bad friends and family if we didn't tell you that we have something planned. So have your self care day the day prior but on your actual birthday you're going to have a day to remember."
   "Guys seriously. You don't have to. We all know how this time of year affects Jessica and I. Just let me down what I normally do. Maybe enjoy some of Annie's food and time with Deacons kids. But other than that, I'm good. I've got to head out. I've been awake for almost 28 hours and I'm exhausted."
I walked out and went home to sleep.
Tan Pov
"So the plan stays. She's going to have a birthday to remember. And I'm going to finally admit my feelings for that wonderful woman."
   "We're routing for you Tan. You're the only guy we'd allow to date her." Hondo said while Deacon nodded. Luca silently agreed too.
   "Tan that's my best friend and my sister. If you hurt her. You might as well leave the Us. She have the power to ruin your life. But just love her like she deserves it because she does."
"Now to be a downer but are you sure she's the girl you want. Nyla is low key a bitch. She thinks she's better than everyone and she make it seem like she knows everything about everyone. Dude half the girls in LA would be a way better choice."
   I honestly think I blanked out because next think I know, Street had a bloody mouth and I was being pulled off by Hicks, Hondo and Deacon. Luca was recording while laughing and Chris was calling Nyla to come get me.
   "The next time you open your mouth to speak about Nyla you better think about that sore jaw you'll have in the morning. I don't play about her. That girl has more balls than you'll ever have. She is better than everyone here hell the amount of degrees she has speak for herself. She quite literally is the only reason we get the funding we do. That girl could've been had your ass replaced but didn't out of respect to Deacon and Hondo who wanted to give you a chance for Bucks sake. But honestly to hell with you Street. I hope she gets your ass fired. She's right about you. I knew that before but I dawn know that now."
   I walked out to Nylas car and hoped in. She drove to her place. I showered and took to sleep next to my future girlfriend.
